According to the criminal complaint, Diaz-Barnett took a gold wedding ring valued at $4,300 from a residence in the W400 block of Red Cedar Lane in the Town of Decatur April 3 and sold it for $150 at a Madison pawn store April 8. MISDEMEANORS

• Nicholas D. Gille, 36, Monroe, was charged with five counts of theft by a contractor July 16 for allegedly not paying a supplier for more than $5,700 worth of materials he used to build and repair driveways, sidewalks, garages and patios in 2012. According to police reports, Gille received five orders, completed the agreed-upon work and collected more than $16,500 in payments. However, court documents show he failed to pay Monroe's Bard Materials, 1207 18th St., for the items he used to fulfill the orders. The five jobs, which were all in Monroe except for one in the Town of Adams, cost the buyers as much as $9,175. A business manager with Bard Materials reportedly contacted the Green County District Attorney's office, which filed the charges. Court records indicate Gille is out on bond after posting $1,000 in cash July 13. He has an initial appearance Aug. 3.

• Keith D. Hartje, 19, Evansville, pleaded no contest Friday to possessing marijuana and faces a fine. A second charge in the case, for possessing drug paraphernalia, was dismissed. The charges stemmed from a March 20 incident in which police stopped Hartje for speeding in the N6400 block of English Settlement Road in the Town of Albany, court documents show. Police reportedly smelled marijuana and seized two bags containing a combined 28.5 grams of suspected marijuana and a glass pipe. Hartje was arrested. Police records indicate he owes the court $583.75.

• Alton L. Bellows, 32, Monroe, pleaded no contest Friday to violating a domestic abuse injunction and faces a fine. According to the criminal complaint, a restraining order valid until 2018 orders him not to contact the woman or come within 100 yards of her residence in the 500 block of West 21st Street in Monroe. Bellows allegedly knocked on the door to the woman's residence Oct. 17, spoke directly to her and peered into her windows. She called police after he left, court files show. She reportedly told investigators Bellows was "very intoxicated." Police records indicate he owes the court $579.

• Jesse A. Partridge, 23, Albany, was charged Tuesday with possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The charges stem from an incident Saturday that started when officers saw Partridge driving on Mechanic Street at Milwaukee Street in the Town of Albany. Police, who noted in their report that they recognized him from past contacts, knew his license was suspended and knew he had a history of using controlled substances, stopped him. A K-9 unit arrived and alerted to the vehicle. Inside, officers found a bag containing 8.4 grams of suspected marijuana and a pipe. Both charges carry repeater enhancers due to previous convictions: receiving stolen property in 2013 and battery and disorderly conduct in 2014. Partridge could face up to three years in prison if convicted on the new charges. Court records indicate he signed a $1,000 signature bond Wednesday that orders him not to use or consume nonprescription controlled substance or possess drug paraphernalia. Partridge, who was also cited for operating after suspension, has a status conference Aug. 5.
