Felonies
- Nathan R. M. Sweet, 19, Monroe, was sentenced on July 13 to 12 months in jail, three years' probation and fined $518 after being found guilty on May 4 of a charge of possessing with the intent to deliver THC, a class I felony, stemming for a Feb. 18 incident. Court records indicate that Sweet possessed THC in the form of marijuana in the total amount of 26.8 grams, or about .06 pounds.
- David B. Hogan, 51, Janesville, was found guilty on July 13 of breaking conditions of his probation. On May 18, 2010, he was found guilty of theft by contractor, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from a May 17, 2009 incident. Court records indicate that his probation was revoked on from a June 2 incident.
He was sentenced to nine months in jail and $517.81.
- Kristi L. Schmidt, 21, Evansville, was found guilty on July 13 after pleading no contest to a charge of possessing amphetamine, an unclassified misdemeanor, and a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor, stemming from a March 4 incident. Court reports indicate that Schmidt possessed amphetamine in the form of nine Adderall tablets, without a prescription, as well as possessing drug paraphernalia.
Schmidt was sentenced to fines totalling $622 for the two charges.
Misdemeanors
- Gina K. Allen, 40, Albany, was found guilty on July 12, after pleading no contest to a charge of criminal damage to property, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from an April 1, 2011 incident. Allen's case was a deferred prosecution and sentence, where she is to follow the prosecution agreement, which includes seeking and obtaining treatment and counseling to prevent future law violations. Allen was sentenced to one year probation and fined $263, to be paid within 90 days of entering in the agreement, and no additional costs will be assessed in an another case against her.
- Faviel Figueroa Rojas, 28, Monroe, was found guilty on July 13, after pleading guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor, stemming from an April 7, 2011 incident. Rojas was fined $505.
- Zachary B. Elsner, 24, Brodhead, was found guilty on July 14, after pleading not contest to a charge of bail jumping, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from a Feb. 12, 2011 incident. Elsner was fined $243.
