Misdemeanors

On Monday:

• Chad Alan Edl, 24, Monroe, had a signature bond set at $500 with additional conditions that he have no contact with the victim in this case. Edl is charged with domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct stemming from an incident that occurred on June 2. Court records indicate the mother of Edl's child had a visible bump on her forehead and responding officers heard Edl yelling and swearing at her. The woman denied any disturbance occurred. Edl had scratches on his arms and also denied any disturbance occurred. He has a pretrial conference set for Sept. 2.

• Brian J. Woodworth, 26, Brodhead, had a signature bond set at $750 with additional conditions that he not drink or go to bars or liquor stores. Woodworth is charged with driving while intoxicated, second offense, stemming from an incident that occurred on May 4. Court records indicate police received an anonymous call about a car driving erratically. From a description of the car, the responding officer knew who the owner was and met Woodworth at his home. The responding officer observed Woodworth pull into the driveway of his residence and asked him to perform a field sobriety test. Woodworth kept repeating that it "didn't matter, I made it home." He at first refused a preliminary breath test but later blew a .09 percent. Woodworth has a prior DWI conviction from 2008. He has a pretrial conference set for Aug. 26.

• Nancy L. Pfaff, 46, Monroe, had a signature bond set at $750 with additional conditions that she not do drugs and maintain absolute sobriety. Pfaff is charged with DWI, first offense, with a juvenile passenger and driving with a restricted controlled substance with a juvenile passenger stemming from an incident that occurred on Nov. 3. Court records indicate she had a 10-year-old Gratiot girl in the vehicle with her. She was arrested then later released to a responsible person. She has a pretrial conference set for July 22.



Lafayette County

Felonies

• Justin W. Young, 27, Argyle, was found guilty Friday due to a guilty plea of resisting an officer, possession of marijuana, second offense, and drug paraphernalia. Young will serve 60 days in jail with work-release privileges, shall not drink, do drugs, go to bars or liquor stores, have no contact with the victim in this case, undergo alcohol and other drug assessment classes and be on probation for two years concurrent to his jail sentence. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Jan. 24. Young owes the court $176.
