Felonies

• Chad A. Fortney, Sr., 38, jailed in Monroe, pleaded no contest Friday, Jan. 11, to revoking his probation on 2009 convictions of failure to pay child support. He is sentenced to 15 months in prison and 15 months on extended supervision. Court records indicate he revoked his probation in 2012 by drinking alcohol, not keeping his agent up-to-date on his employment and address, and getting arrested in Marquette County on charges of slashing a car tire and grabbing a woman by the shoulders, throwing her on the ground and holding her there and slapping a telephone out of her hands to prevent her from calling police.

Misdemeanors

• Samantha Jo Masseur, 25, Juda, and Russell Edward Terhark, 25, South Wayne, pleaded no contest Monday, Jan. 14, to charges related to a fight May 16 at a residence in the W2600 block of Greenbush Road in the Town of Sylvester. They were each granted a 15-month deferred prosecution, with the conditions that they attend counseling, parenting classes and quarterly monitoring conferences and pay the court $100 each. Court records indicate that Masseur and Terhark, who have children together, were arrested for getting into a physical fight. Masseur is convicted of driving a truck toward Terhark with the intention of hitting him. Terhark is convicted of disorderly conduct, including charges that he threw a brick at Terhark.

• Misdemeanor charges of obstructing an officer were dismissed against Pollie-Ann Victoria Chiarello, 20, New Glarus, on Thursday, Jan. 17. She agreed instead to plead no contest to ordinance violations of resisting/obstructing an officer and two violations of underage drinking. She was fined. The violations stem from an underage drinking party July 6 in the W5200 block of County W in the Town of New Glarus and a traffic stop on Legler Valley Road. Court records indicate Chiarello gave her older sister's name and date of birth when asked by an officer to identify herself.

• Thomas Allen McLean, 25, Monroe, was charged Wednesday, Jan. 23, with Class A misdemeanor counts of resisting an officer and receiving stolen property and a Class B misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. The charges stem from an incident Dec. 15 at the Citgo Station, 101 Wisconsin 69, in Monticello. Court records indicate McLean swore and screamed at a Monticello police officer and a Green County deputy, threatened them and physically resisted his arrest. He also allegedly concealed within his vehicle a stolen yellow reflective police vest. His cash bond is set at $100. His next court appearance is Feb. 5.
