Green County
Felonies
The court Friday scheduled a March 23 district attorney conference for Kyle M. Ramos, 19, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to charges related to a domestic disturbance.
Court records allege he pushed a woman against a wall and against a door; and choked her twice Feb. 6 at a Monroe residence. He was on bond for driving a vehicle without the owner's consent at the time of the incident.
He is charged with two counts of strangulation and suffocation, both class H felonies; bail jumping, a class H felony; two counts of battery and one count of criminal damage to property, each a class A misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces more than 20 years in prison and up to $61,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $5,000 signature bond.
Misdemeanors
The court Friday entered into a one-year deferred prosecution agreement for Joshua A. Jacobson, 17, Brodhead, who pleaded no contest to theft.
He faced up to nine months in jail and fines up to $10,000 as part of the plea agreement for the class A misdemeanor. The court will dismiss the charges in one year if he complies with the terms of the agreement.
Court records indicate he took a necklace Nov. 30 from Shopko.
