Green County Circuit Court
Felonies
♦ Diamond Rikki Madison, 22, Streamwood, Illinois, pleaded no contest Jan. 19 to a Class I felony count of fleeing an officer in a vehicle and a Class F felony charge of burglary, with felony charges of theft and criminal damage to property dismissed but "read in." On the conviction of fleeing an officer, she was sentenced to 34 months on probation. Upon her successful completion of probation, the conviction may be expunged under a state law that grants leniency to young offenders. On the conviction of burglary, Madison was granted a 34-month deferred prosecution, with the conditions that she pay $1,000 in restitution and "testify truthfully, honestly and consistently with her sworn statements" against her co-defendants in the case. Madison was the getaway driver in a February 2017 burglary of the Monroe Radio Shack, 301 6th Ave. West, according to court records. The burglary involved the theft of $90,000 in merchandise, some of which was recovered. Police stopped the getaway vehicle with spike strips in Rock County.
Misdemeanors
♦ Justin Troy Kunz, 27, Monroe, pleaded no contest and entered a one-year deferred prosecution agreement Jan. 19 on a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct, stemming from a family dispute Nov. 5 at his home on 14th Avenue. A second count of disorderly conduct was dismissed. Conditions of his agreement include completing parenting classes and an anger management assessment and complying with all recommendations. If Kunz complies with all conditions of his agreement, the case will be fully dismissed.
