Green County Circuit Court Felonies
Trevor Robert Frie, 23, Monroe, pleaded guilty Friday, Feb. 15, to three felony counts of forgery and was sentenced to 45 days in jail and three years of probation. Court records indicate Frie forged checks for $156.37, $150 and $300 at Monroe banks within the past six months. A misdemeanor charge that he stole $50 from Monroe's Pick-N-Save while employed at the grocery store in January 2012 was dismissed but "read in" to the sentencing. Multiple charges of bail jumping were dismissed. Conditions of Frie's probation include that he pay restitution, undergo any recommended counseling and "obtain and maintain employment and not quit for any reason." If he successfully completes probation, he'll be eligible to have the convictions expunged from his record, under a state statute that gives leniency to youthful offenders.
Misdemeanors
Shaun Lee Koss, 31, Albany, was charged Friday, Feb. 15, with three counts of knowingly violating a domestic abuse order. Court records indicate he violated the restraining order by texting the petitioner on July 5, "driving slowly past (her) house" on Dec. 1 and texting her again Jan. 30. He pleaded not guilty to all charges. His signature bond is set at $1,500. His next court date is April 2.
Richard Emil Hartwig, 49, Monroe, was charged Friday, Feb. 15, with one count of knowingly violating a domestic abuse order. Court records indicate he was ordered last fall by the court to surrender his rifle, two shotguns and .32 caliber pistol and failed to do so. His initial appearance in court is March 4.
