FELONIES

• Catlin Cash Wiese, 27, Monroe, was sentenced to one year in prison Tuesday after pleading no contest to a Class H felony charge of failing to update the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry. Wiese, who was convicted of a Class G felony charge of third-degree sexual assault in 2007, was charged after his parole officer discovered that Wiese failed to notify the Registry of a Facebook profile he maintained under the pseudonym "Timmy Elkins." The Registry requires offenders to, among other things, provide "every Internet username the person uses, and the name and Internet address of every public or private Internet profile the person creates, uses or maintains."

MISDEMEANORS

• Deionte D. McGrew, 23, Beloit, was granted a six-month deferred prosecution agreement Monday on a misdemeanor charge of possession of THC. The charge stems from an Aug. 14 incident when officers stopped a speeding vehicle on Wisconsin 81, Town of Brodhead, and discovered marijuana in the glove compartment. McGrew, a passenger in the vehicle, admitted the marijuana was his and said he was going to smoke it later. Police also found paraphernalia in the car, but the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dropped.

• Austin Dean Flood, 20, Monroe, was sentenced to nine months in jail Monday after revoking his probation on misdemeanor charges of possession of THC, theft, bail jumping, obstructing an officer and unlawful possession of prescription drugs. The charges stem from a series of incidents from November 2012 to September 2014. The first incident occurred on Nov. 14, 2012, when Flood stole two iPods from two lockers at Albany High School. Two months later, on Jan. 18, 2013, marijuana was discovered in Flood's possession at the same school. On May 5, 2014, Flood violated his bond conditions when he was found in possession of the narcotic lisdexamfetamine after stealing a woman's tablet computer. Then, on Aug. 24 the same year, police investigated Flood for unlawful possession of Vicodin. Flood attempted to flee officers, spitting on one and damaging a police radio in the process. Finally, police discovered Flood in possession of the prescription narcotic amitriptyline without a legal prescription after investigating a disturbance on Sept. 22, 2014.
