Felonies


• Michael L. Daniel, 25, Freeport, was charged July 31 with a Class I felony count of marijuana possession and a misdemeanor count of possessing drug paraphernalia, stemming from an arrest the previous day at a residence in the 300 block of 5th Street in Monroe. Officers were at the home to arrest Daniel on a warrant when they allegedly found him hiding under a bed with about 1.6 grams of marijuana, loose and in a cigar blunt. His cash bond is set at $100 and his signature bond at $900. He has a status conference Aug. 12 and a preliminary hearing Aug. 15.



Misdemeanors

• Randall Joseph Abing, 57, Brodhead, was charged July 29 with a Class B misdemeanor count of unlawfully using a phone with concealed identification to threaten someone. Court records indicate he made seven late-night phone calls in April to another man. His initial appearance is Aug. 19.

• Caleb Zachary Lyle, 21, Albany, was charged July 29 with misdemeanor bail jumping, stemming from an incident June 5 in Madison outside a BP gas station on Mohawk Drive. Authorities were called to the area for a possible overdose and reported finding Lyle with a baggie of heroin, one used syringe, nine unused syringes, a tin cup with burn residue and a blue rubber band. Lyle was under a bond condition from a previous charge not to possess drug paraphernalia. His signature bond is set at $1,000. He has a pre-trial conference Aug. 6.

• Ruban Orozco Lozano, Jr., 55, New Glarus, was charged Aug. 1 with a Class A misdemeanor count of battery and a Class B misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, stemming from an incident the previous day in his home on 8th Street. Court records indicate he yelled at and violently pushed a woman. His signature bond is set at $500 with the condition that he not drink or have violent or abusive contact with the alleged victim or her family. He has a pre-trial conference Sept. 17.
