FELONIES
- Shad M. Amacher, 34, Louisville, Ky., pleaded no contest Tuesday, Aug. 14, to a Class I felony charge of failure to pay child support for a period longer than four months in 2011 for his 11-year-old daughter. A second similar charge was dismissed. He was sentenced to three years of probation. If he breaks his probation, he is ordered to go straight to prison for 18 months, followed by two years of extended supervision.
- Todd Allen Miller, 48, Monroe, signed a $1,000 signature bond Tuesday, Aug. 14, on a charge of felony bail jumping filed the previous day. Court records indicate he broke his bond conditions on another case by texting his wife Aug. 10 to ask when he could see their daughter, in violation of a no-contact order. Miller has a preliminary hearing scheduled Aug. 31.
MISDEMEANORS
- Kyle Scot Peotter, 17, Monroe, pleaded no contest Monday, Aug. 13, to multiple misdemeanor charges and was sentenced to two years of probation. Court records indicate Peotter broke into a mobile home in the 400 block of West 21st Street on April 25 and took a Wii gaming system and controllers, a "Glee" game, four 24-ounce bottles of Coke and two pairs of silver earrings and other jewelry. He is also convicted of two separate instances of bail jumping and of writing derogatory messages with a Sharpie marker on the posts and in the rafters of a shelter in Recreation Park, 1700 22nd Ave., on July 10. Conditions of his probation include getting his high school diploma or the equivalent, no entry into public parks and no contact with any non-family members younger than 18 unless approved by his probation agent. If he finishes his probation successfully, he will be eligible to have his convictions expunged from his record.
- Olivia Lou Jean Halvorson, 23, Belleville, has an initial appearance scheduled Sept. 10 on a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct filed Monday, Aug. 13. Court records indicate she became disorderly and caused a disturbance June 19 at a residence in the W2800 block of Doyle Road in Belleville.
