Green County Misdemeanors

• Randall Scott Zuber, 37, Monroe, was found guilty of criminal damage to property and bail jumping, both class A misdemeanors. He also had charges of with criminal trespassing to property, two counts of disorderly conduct, intimidating a victim, and two counts of bail jumping dismissed April 16. Zuber's sentence was withheld and he was sentenced to 30 months probation concurrent with any other sentence with the conditions of 90 days jail time with work release for the first 30 days, after which he may be released on electronic monitoring. Zuber must not possess or consume any intoxicants and must undergo alcohol treatment and counseling and anger management and complete any follow-up. He must pay court costs, crime victim witness surcharges and the cost of supervision during probation. Charges indicate that he caused damage to the property of another without the owner's consent. In December, Zuber violated his terms and conditions of his bail by consuming alcohol after being charged with the misdemeanor charge of criminal damage to property, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct on Aug. 3 and Sept. 19.

• Austyn Richard Althaus, 19, Monroe, was found guilty of criminal damage to property, a class A misdemeanor, on April 14. He also had a count of theft of movable property less than $2,500, a class A misdemeanor, and a class H felony of bail jumping charge dismissed. Althaus' sentence was withheld and he will serve two years of probation current another case with the conditions of paying restitution during the term of probation, paying costs, surcharges and supervision fees during the term of probation. Under the successful completion of probation, Althaus' case may be expunged. Court records indicate that Althaus caused physical damage to a water fountain in Browntown and also caused damage to a 3-foot by 4-foot wooden sign by removing the sign from its location, then placing a paving block on the water fountain, at the Browntown municipal park.

• David James Brill, 30, Portage, pleaded no-contest to a charge of disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor, on April 10 as part of a deferred prosecution agreement. As part of the agreement, he must pay $100 domestic abuse assessment in this case, as well as a second case, totaling $200, and seek counseling for anger management. Upon complying with the agreement, the district attorney will move the court for dismissal of the complaint on file. Court records indicate that on or around Sept. 8, Brill was yelling and shouting obscenities and profanities in a loud voice at his girlfriend at a residence they shared with their children. He also was throwing grocery items on the floor and pushed his girlfriend around the apartment in a violent, abusive and boisterous manner.
