Felonies

• The court Aug. 24 sentenced Cody J. Vavra, 18, Monroe, to one year probation and entered into a deferred prosecution agreement after he pleaded guilty to burglary and criminal damage to property.

He faced more than 13 years in prison and up to $35,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class F felony and class A misdemeanor.

The court will dismiss the burglary charge if he complies with the terms of the agreement.

He also must pay $519 in restitution and serve 80 hours of community service.

Court records indicate he tried to break into the concession stand at Twining Park May 22. He kicked the door and caused damage to the building.

• The court Aug. 26 entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled an Oct. 20 district attorney conference for Cory L. Rodebaugh, 25, Brodhead, who stood mute to physical abuse of a child and disorderly conduct.

Court records allege he hit a child with a toy guitar Aug. 6 or Aug. 7 and threatened a man Aug. 7. The incidents took place in a Decatur township residence. He was convicted of two counts of disorderly conduct, battery and criminal damage to property in 2008.

He is charged with physical abuse of a child, a class H felony, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor, as a repeat offender. He faces more than 10 years in prison and up to $11,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $2,000 signature bond.

• The court Aug. 26 scheduled a Nov. 3 district attorney conference for Adam R.C. Reihl, 21, Orfordville, who is charged with strangulation and suffocation and disorderly conduct.

Court records allege he put his hands around a woman's neck and choked her April 12 in Juda.

He is charged with strangulation and suffocation, a class H felony, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces more than six years in prison and up to $11,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $1,000 signature bond.

• The court Aug. 26 scheduled a Nov. 3 district attorney conference for Joshua S. Ritchie, 20, South Wayne, who pleaded not guilty to bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records allege he had a bag to store marijuana in his possession while on bond for bail jumping June 18 in Monroe.

He is charged with bail jumping, a class H felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor. He faces more than six years in prison and more than $10,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $2,000 signature bond.

• The court Aug. 26 entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled an Oct. 20 district attorney conference for Matthew D. Schupbach, 25, Brodhead, who stood mute to a charge of escape.

Court records allege he failed to return to the Green County Sheriff's Department while on work release July 16.

He is charged with escape, a class H felony. He faces up to six years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains jailed.

• The court Aug. 25 entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a Nov. 3 district attorney conference for Juan S. Flores, 60, New Glarus, who stood mute to false imprisonment, battery and disorderly conduct charges.

Court records allege he swore at a woman, grabbed her wrists and held her against a wall Aug. 7 in a New Glarus residence.

He is charged with false imprisonment, a class H felony, battery, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to seven years in prison and up to $21,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $2,000 signature bond.

• The court Aug. 25 entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a Nov. 17 district attorney conference for Jeramiah R. Fuchs, 20, Monroe, who stood mute to physical abuse of child, battery and disorderly conduct charges.

Court records allege he pushed a girl, choked her, pulled her hair and threw her to the ground Aug. 7 in Monroe.

He is charged with physical abuse of a child, a class H felony, battery, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to seven years in prison and up to $11,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $4,000 signature bond.
