• The court Tuesday sentenced Derrick A. Schwartzlow, 28, Albany, to six months in jail with work release privileges after he pleaded no contest to forgery and theft charges.

He faced more than seven years in prison and up to $30,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class H felony and class A misdemeanors.

The court dismissed four counts of forgery, each a class H felony. He originally faced more than 21 years in prison and up to $70,000 in fines.

Court records indicate he wrote a check for $175 from another person's account and used forged checks to receive more than $800 from two Albany businesses between Aug. 9 and Aug. 13, 2007.

• The court Tuesday scheduled a Dec. 29 district attorney conference for Jeramiah R. Fuchs, 20, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to physical abuse of a child, battery and disorderly conduct.

Court records allege he grabbed a 17-year-old girl by the throat, took her outside, pulled her by the hair and threw her to the ground Aug. 7 in Monroe.

He is charged with physical abuse of a child, a class H felony, battery, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to seven years in prison and up to $21,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $4,000 signature bond.

In a second case, the court scheduled a Dec. 29 district attorney conference for Fuchs after he pleaded not guilty to bail jumping and theft.

Court records allege he took eight compact disc players or radios from a Monroe man between Oct. 5 and Oct. 6. He was on bond at the time of the incident.

He is charged with bail jumping, a class H felony, and theft, a class A misdemeanor. He faces ore than six years in prison and up to $20,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $3,000 signature bond.

Misdemeanors

• The court Wednesday entered into a one-year deferred prosecution agreement with Heather R. Hale, 20, Monroe, who pleaded no contest to possession of marijuana.

She faced up to six months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the unclassified misdemeanor.

The charge will be dismissed in one year if she complies with the terms of the agreement.

Court records indicate she had marijuana in her possession June 14 in Clarno township.

• The court Tuesday scheduled a Jan. 26 pretrial conference for Dale L. Finley, 28, Monroe, who is charged with battery, bail jumping and disorderly conduct.

Court records allege he pushed a man and repeatedly hit him in the face July 28 in Monroe. He was on bond at the time of the incident. He was convicted of substantial battery in 2006.

He is charged with battery and bail jumping, both class A misdemeanors, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor, as a repeat offender. He faces more than six years in jail and up to $21,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on $600 signature bond and a $400 cash bond.

In a second case, the court scheduled a Jan. 26 pretrial conference for Finley for a charge of bail jumping.

Court records allege he failed to appear at a Nov. 3 pretrial conference.

He is charged with bail jumping, a class A misdemeanor. He faces up to nine months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $500 signature bond.

• The court Tuesday scheduled a Jan. 19 pretrial conference for Kyle F. Smith, 21, Monroe, who is charged with resisting an officer and disorderly conduct.

Court records allege he head-butted a man and threatened the man and his wife Sept. 1 in Monroe township. He later resisted officers as they attempted to take him into custody.

He is charged with resisting an officer, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to one year in jail and up to $11,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on $1,000 signature bond.

• The court Tuesday scheduled a Jan. 19 pretrial conference for Timothy A. Cook, 37, Monroe, who is charged with battery and disorderly conduct.

Court records allege he slammed a woman's hand in a refrigerator door, bit her hand and pushed her to the floor June 27 in Monroe.

He is charged with battery, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to one year in jail and up to $11,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $1,000 signature bond.

• The court Tuesday scheduled a Dec. 3 plea hearing for John D. Trolinger, 36, Oregon, who is charged with disorderly conduct.

Court records allege he yelled and swore at a woman Aug. 28 in Monroe. He was convicted of battery and disorderly conduct in 2007 and criminal damage to property in 2006.

He is charged with disorderly conduct as a repeat offender, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to 21 months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $1,000 signature bond.
