BELLEVILLE - Charles L. "Charlie" Viney, age 82, of Belleville passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. in Fitchburg. He was born on January 24, 1930 in the Town of Montrose to his parents Paul and Millie (Colney) Viney. Charles graduated from Belleville High School in 1949. Following high school Charles served in the United States Army from November of 1951 to November of 1953 in Korea. After returning from Army Service Charles drove a milk truck for Al Geiger and then worked for the Village of Belleville. He then went on to work for the Dane County Highway Department for twenty three years until his retirement in 1992. Following his retirement Charles drove a school bus for the Belleville School District for many years. Charles was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Duppler-Smith American Legion Post #460 in Belleville and also the Oregon-Brooklyn-McFarland VFW Post #10272. Charlie enjoyed going up town for breakfast and a few games of euchre at J and M. He was an avid Brewer, Packer, and Badger fan and enjoyed all sports. Charlie also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Charles is survived by his children Kim (Dale Norris) Viney of Madison, WI, Maria (Samuel) Stuessy, Brooklyn, WI, Brent Viney of Belleville, WI, and Jannan (Todd) Kosak of Belleville, WI, and Martha Viney of Racine, WI. He is further survived by his grandchildren Robert Stuessy, Nicole Stuessy, Thomas Stuessy, Jacob Stuessy, Joshua (Melissa Disch) Kosak, and Chelsea Kosak; three brothers Floyd (Charlotte) Viney of Belleville, WI, Paul (Myrna) Viney of McFarland, WI, and Richard (Ruth) Viney of Belleville, WI; three sisters Hilda (Tony) Jarona of Madison, WI, Elaine (Bill) Worringer of Tower, MN, and Marybelle (Ken) Helgestad of Walker, MN; a sister-in-law Annabelle Acker of Waunakee, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Orville and Bernard Viney, and a sister Charlene Viney-Heinzman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with burial in the Frenchtown Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 3, 2012 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville.
