Cathy A. Winters, age 61, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at her home in South Wayne, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 15, 1948 in Monroe, the daughter of Elton and Darlyne (Ritschard) Segner, and graduated from Monticello High School.
Cathy married Wesley Winters on March 23, 1968 at Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello. Cathy worked for Oaktron Industries for over 20 years and later worked at Argyle Industries.
She was a member of the Gratiot Evangelical Church, liked flowers and gardening, collected Depression Glass, collected porcelain dolls, and enjoyed her dog Riley.
Surviving is her husband, Wesley Winters of South Wayne; parents, Elton and Darlyne Segner of Monroe; brother, Wayne (Laurie) Segner of Monroe; sisters, Lori (Dan) Klemm, Heidi (Rob) Treuthardt of Monroe; brother-in-law, Richard Gruenewald of Juda; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Gruenewald; grandparents, John and Maggie Segner and Herman and Emma Ritschard; father and mother-in-law, George and Esther Winters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Gratiot Evangelical Church in Gratiot, WI at 11 a.m. with Pastor Glen Andes officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, South Wayne, WI.
A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2009 at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME, 1455 Mansion Dr. and 18th Ave. in Monroe.
