Brian G. Wheeler, 52, of Melbourne, Florida is now with his heavenly family having passed away on January 22, 2015 from a year long battle with brain cancer. He was the son of the late Gene M. Wheeler, Albany and Eloise Waelti, Melbourne, Florida and was born on July 7, 1962 in Melbourne, Florida. All his schooling was in Florida and he graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1999 with a BSN in nursing. He was employed by Health First Hospital for 15 years before being diagnosed last January. Prior to that he was employed with the family business, Melbourne Sand Co., ever since high school. He had a great sense of humor, is loved very much by his family and colleagues, loved all sports and played adult softball and soccer, loved to travel with his wife of 35 years, thoroughly enjoyed remodeling his sons' older homes, and would help anyone. He was more than any mother could hope for, was a very devoted husband and father, and the BEST "Po Po" any grandsons could be blessed to have.

He is survived by his wife, Laura; sons, Travis and Thomas (Jeri) Wheeler; his brother, Scott (Beth) Wheeler, Tallahassee, Fl.; half sister, Kelly (Frank) Hanosek, Ringle, Wis.; mother, Eloise Waelti, Melbourne, Fla.; grandsons, Dylan and Gavin Wheeler; nephews, Scott, Jr. and J.J. Wheeler, Mitchel Hanosek and niece Lindsay and his Starbucks buddy, Reese, a chocolate Lab. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene (by the very same cancer at the age of 28) and paternal grandparents, Marion and Irene (Brown) Wheeler, Albany, and maternal grandparents, Melvin and Jane Waelti, Melbourne, Florida, formerly from Monroe, Wis.

Memorial services will be held at the Suntree Rotary Park, Melbourne, Florida on February 8, 2015.
