Bonnie T. Zurfluh, age 67, of Albany, died on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the New Glarus Home. She was born on October 3, 1947, the daughter of Maurice O. and Mary L. (Wood) Ringhand, and was a 1965 graduate of Albany High School.
Bonnie married Robert D. Zurfluh on August 23, 1980 at Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello.
Bonnie worked at Advance Transformer, Pleasant View Nursing Home, and later cooked for the Green County Sheriff's Department until retiring on December 1, 2013.
She was a member of McDermott-Steindorf American Legion Post #144 Auxiliary, served as president for over 30 years, Cecil Jones VFW Post #2312 Auxiliary served as president, Albany Lutheran Church, Albany Historical Society served as secretary, and enjoyed card making with her friends.
She is survived by her son, Israel (Debbie) Zurfluh of Albany; brothers, Phillip and Fred Ringhand, both of Albany, John Ringhand of North Pole, Alaska; long time friend, Marian Furgal of Monroe; step-granddaughter, Mandi; step-grandson, Jason; and step-great-granddaughter, Mckenzie.
She is predeceased by her Parents; and Husband.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Albany Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Natzke officiating. Burial will follow at Gap Cemetery, rural Albany.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 5th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Dr., and N. 18th Ave. in Monroe.
A VFW Auxiliary Service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to the Albany American Legion Auxiliary or the Albany Historical Society.
