Kent, IL - Betty L. Dole, 79, of Kent, died Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI. The daughter of Allen and Esther (Wingert) Herman, she was born in Kent Township on March 30, 1931.

She married Gerald L. Dole on August 15, 1954 in Pearl City, IL. Betty was a graduate of St. Francis Nursing School and retired in 1994 from her nursing career of over 30 years. Betty was a 1949 graduate of Pearl City High School, she also attended Lower Kent School. She was an active member of the Kent United Methodist Church in Kent, Kent Methodist Woman's Society, and also the Night Owls Social Club.

Betty is survived by 3 daughters- Gynel (Glenn) Hagemann of Orangeville, IL, Denise (David) Tallakson of Cedar Falls, IA, and Debra (Rick) DeHahn of Byron, IL; 1 son- Rodney (Wendy) of Milwaukee, WI; 4 grandsons-Nicholas Hagemann of Flagstaff, AZ, Corey Hagemann of Freeport, IL, Andrew Tallakson of Henderson, NV, and Lucas Dole of Milwaukee, WI; 4 Granddaughters- Elena Tallakson of Iowa City, IA, Ana Tallakson of Cedar Falls, IA, Kirsti DeHahn of Platteville, WI, and Jennifer DeHahn of Byron, IL; 2 brothers- William (Evelyn) Herman of Lena and Robert (Tana) Herman of Lena; 1 sister- Alberta Spittler of Stockton, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald on December 24, 1994, and a sister Leah Erner

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 4:00 8:00 p.m. at Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery in Pearl City, IL.

Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and a faithful member of the Kent Methodist Church Family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
