Betty J. Troestler, age 86, of Monroe, Wisconsin, died on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Hospice Care Inc. in Madison, WI. She was born December 12, 1923 at Wonewoc, WI, the daughter of Edward and Elfa (Senty) Stahnke and graduated from Reedsburg High School.
Betty and William Troestler were married at Milwaukee, WI in 1980. Betty was employed at AC Delco in Oak Creek and was an Internal Representative for United Auto Workers.
Surviving are daughters, Sue (Wally) Pliszka of Austin, TX, Kay (Patrick) Petersen of Albany, WI, Gail (Tom) Curran of Merrill, WI, and Diane (Dan) Lynch of Appleton, WI; brother, James (Molly) Stahnke of Meridian, MS; grandchildren, Caroline Pliszka, Scott (Heidi) Pliszka, Ashley and Micky Petersen, Michael (Laura) Curran, Sarah (Robert Brown) Curran, Joshua (Jena) Lynch, Nate (Michele Uthmeyer) Lynch, and Maggy Lynch; and great-grandchildren, Shane and Patrick Lynch and Case Pliszka. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; and sister, Jean Olen.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2010 at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME, 1455 Mansion Drive and 18th Avenue in Monroe with Fr. Michael Moon officiating. Private burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Albany, WI.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A memorial fund is being established in Betty's memory.
