STOUGHTON - Bernice A. Friedrichs, age 80, of Stoughton, passed away on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at Stoughton Hospital. She was born on Sept. 28, 1935, in Monroe, Wis., the daughter of Charles and Arlene (Schultz) Huber. She married Delmar Friedrichs on Oct. 4, 1953, in Monroe. Bernice grew up outside of Monroe and graduated from Monroe High School in 1952. Bernice and Del moved to Madison in 1966 and owned and operated Northgate Laundry and Cleaning Service for 10 years. From 1992 until 2003, they lived in Rogers, Ark., and from 2003 until 2013, they lived in Merrill. They have lived in Stoughton since 2013. Bernice was a member of Good Shepherd by the Lake Lutheran Church in Stoughton and was a former member of St. John's Evangelical Church in Monroe, where she sang in the choir. She made quilts for all of her grandchildren when they graduated from high school. Bernice also enjoyed traveling to all 50 states and Canada with Del on his Gold Wing motorcycle. She loved her flower garden, especially her roses. Bernice is survived by her husband, Delmar; children, Kristine Mistlebauer, Lora Friedrichs, Delnice (Randy) Hill, Beth (Sergio) Mireles and Delmar C. Friedrichs, Jr.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marion (Stan) Pickett and Lorrie Bechtolt; a sister-in-law, Lucy Ann Huber; and her canine companion, Shorty. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Huber; and son-in-law, Scott Mistlebauer. A memorial service will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD BY THE LAKE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1860 Hwy. 51 N., Stoughton, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, with Pastor Todd McVey officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. A lunch will follow the service. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe, Wis., at 1 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, Parkinson's Organization, or Good Shepard By The Lake Lutheran Church.
