Beatrice Arlene Hillberg, age 95, of Somonauk, IL passed away on October 31, 2014 at Hillside Rehabilitation and Care Center in Yorkville, IL. She was born on January 5, 1919 in Blanchardville, WI the daughter of Andrew and Serina (Berglund) Johnson.
Beatrice was united in marriage on February 14, 1947 to Mr. Arthur Hillberg and they spent the next 59 happy years together until his passing on December 21, 2007. Mrs. Hillberg was employed for many years by Carson Pirie Scott as a personal manager. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Gregory (Josephine) Hillberg of Somonauk, IL; her grandchildren, Gina (Wade) Ratner of Elk Grove Village, IL and Melissa (Jason) Panozzo of Batavia, IL; her great-grandchildren, Ben Ratner, Jacob Ratner, Tyler Panozzo, and Carter Panozzo; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Serina Johnson; her husband, Arthur Hillberg; her five sisters; and her four brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N. Bridge St., Yorkville, IL. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit from 12:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
