MONROE - Audrey A Schliem, 96, of Monroe formerly of Winslow, IL, passed away on March 25, 2009 at Rest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Verona, WI. She was born on August 27, 1912 in Lafayette County, WI, the daughter of Ben and Evaline (Rodebaugh) Goodman. She lived with Charles and Elma Blaisdell during her school years. She married Marion Schliem on January 14, 1939 in Dubuque, IA. Audrey and Marion farmed east of Winslow, IL for 22 years until he died in December of 1962. Audrey worked for Spinherne Hardware as sales clerk for many years. She was active in the Winslow United Methodist Church, the Ladies U.M.W. and St. Cecelia and the Isabel Chapters of O.E.S. In her later years she attended the Peace United Church of Christ in Browntown, WI.

Surviving are her daughter, Carol (Bob) Mirshak of Middleton, WI; her son, Charles (Sheila) Schliem of Naperville, IL; two grandchildren, Robert V. (Jane) Mirshak of Long Island City, NY. and Lori Mirshak and fiancee Pat Hilgers and son Aaron, all of Middleton, WI; two sisters, Dorothy Webster of Monroe, WI and Sue (John) Minder of Browntown, WI; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Rock Lily Cemetery, Winslow. Rev. Ray Sowersby will officiate.

Cremation rites were accorded
