Audrey A. Bohren, age 78, Monroe, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, May 4th, 2011 at Pleasant View Nursing Home with family by her side.

Audrey was born on August 20th, 1932 in Columbus, WI to Hugh and Ann (Torer) Roberts. She was united in marriage to Ralph Bohren on December 29th, 1950 in Brodhead. They were married for nearly 59 years until Ralph's death in 2009.

They farmed west of Monroe for 17 years and were blessed with five children. In addition to being a homemaker, Audrey worked as a nurse's aid at St. Clare Hospital, as a typist at the Swiss Colony and as a personal home health care associate.

Audrey had a passion for travel, camping, reading, needlepoint, and sewing. She was active in the Monroe Christian Women's Club and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Phil) Degruy of Janesville, WI, Kristine (Doug) Wilson of Delhi, IA; and Patricia (Dean) Senglaub of Roscoe, IL; her son, Kevin Bohren of Wilmington, NC; four grandchildren, Nicholas (fiancée Nikki) Wilson, Scott Wilson, Robbie and Isabella Senglaub; a sister, Peg (Jim) Rickers; a brother, Hugh (Beth) Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Robert; and a brother, Tom Roberts.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011, at noon with visitation starting at 10 a.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 1329 31st. Avenue, Monroe. Pastor Jim Rickers will officiate with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, followed by a luncheon at the Monroe V.F.W. Post #2312.
