Blanchardville - Andrew Hendrickson, age 82, of Blanchardville died on Thursday afternoon, March 16, 2017 at Aster Retirement Community in Monroe. He was born on April 22, 1934, to Milt and Katie (Kammerude) Hendrickson on the family farm near Blanchardville where he grew up working with his siblings and parents. He went to the Blanchardville grade and high school, and then finished high school in Hollandale and graduated in 1951. He entered the US Army and served in Greenland doing road maintenance there. He was married in July, 1956 to Patricia Louise Hendrickson in Madison. They lived in Blanchardville where he worked for the Blanchardville Co-Op driving the fuel truck and working in the feed mill. In 1966 he began managing the feed mill in Hollandale, where he worked until 1974. They then operated the Hendrickson Feed Service in Hollandale for several years. He worked for the Blanchardville Co-op for a few years, and then worked for Trumpy Cheese in Blanchardville, which became Mid-AM where he retired from in 1992. Pat and Andy spent many years buying and selling antiques and collectibles at flea markets and antique malls in Southern Wisconsin. Andy's knack for his Irish wit and teasing was always strong, and was passed on to his children and grandchildren. He loved gardening, fishing, playing poker, and the Packers.

Andy is survived by six children, Andy Jr. (Lisa) Hendrickson of Monroe, Kay (Jim) Johnson of Blanchardville, Mike (Susan) Hendrickson of Hollandale, Larry (Sherri) Hendrickson of Monroe, Teresa (Mike) Johnson of Blanchardville, Pat (Denise Bahler) Hendrickson of Monroe; 10 grandchildren, Matt Johnson, Sara (Derek) Wirth, Jason Hendrickson, Molly Hendrickson, Nick Hendrickson, Alex Hendrickson, Tannar (Cortney Gilbertson) Johnson, Brooke Johnson, Jessica Hendrickson and Lauren Hendrickson; and three great-grandchildren, Easton Hendrickson, Mason Staggs and Olivia Wirth; 5 sisters, Donna, Betty, Judy, Millie (Moo), Ginger, and brothers Jim and Don. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Pat who died on February 3, 2016, and a brother Milton Paul.

A gathering for the celebration of Andy's life will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, starting from 4:00 until 5:00 PM, at which time a short prayer service and sharing of stories will be held, followed by more visiting until 7:00 PM at Blanchard Hall at 204 South Main Street in Blanchardville.
