BRODHEAD - Amy D. Sangermano, age 45, of Brodhead, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 19, 1966 in Monroe, the daughter of Robert and Carol (Burkhalter) Meythaler.
Amy graduated from Brodhead High School in 1985 and attended MATC and Blackhawk Tech. She had worked for Ayres Chevrolet, currently Brodhead Chevrolet, for 29 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Brodhead, and had taught Sunday school. She also was a chairperson for Relay for Life. Amy enjoyed her work, family and friends.
Amy is survived by her parents, Robert and Carol Meythaler; two sons, William and Justin Sangermano; a brother, Mark (Casey) Meythaler; two nieces, Claire Rose and Riley Jo Meythaler; a nephew, Becker Meythaler; a very special friend, Jeff Malaise, all of Brodhead; three aunts, Dona Mauerman and Janice Markee, both of Monroe, Elaine D'Amore, Kenosha, WI; an uncle, Daryl Meythaler, Sun City, AZ; her son's father, William Sangermano, Brodhead, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Rose and Clair Meythaler, and maternal grandparents, Edward and Amy Burkhalter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at the United Methodist Church, Brodhead, with Rev. Ellis "Hap" Itson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2011, at the United Methodist Church, Brodhead.
