Monroe Police

MONROE — On Sept. 25:

●  Brielle M. Erickson, 18, Browntown, was cited for retail theft at 3:40 p.m. following a business complaint in the 1600 block of 9th Street.

●  Hansel A. Mondragon Zepeda, 19, Monroe, was cited for retail theft at 6:52 p.m. following a business complaint in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Sept. 25:

●  Vandalism damage to mailboxes and stolen or damaged Biden campaign signs were reported at about 7:30 a.m. at two Town of Monroe residences, in the N2600 and N2700 blocks of Ullom Road.

●  Owen D. Boss, 20, Albany, was cited for disorderly conduct and underage drinking after deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at 11:44 p.m. at a residence in the W1700 block of County EE, Town of Monroe. Albany police assisted.

On Sept. 26:

●  Vandalism damage to a mailbox was reported at 9:40 a.m. in the N1800 block of Bethel Road, Town of Clarno.

●  Theft of a Biden campaign sign was reported shortly after 2 p.m. in the W5500 block of Rolling Acres Lane, Town of Monroe. The theft had occurred sometime between 9 p.m. the night before and that morning.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — Kenneth Wilson, 70, Darlington was cited Sept. 23 for a violation of the city’s zoning code. City code restricts the number of unrelated occupants in a single family dwelling to four. Wilson had seven adults, in addition to children, living in his residence at 444 Washington St. The citation stems from a case in August in which police received a tip regarding a wanted man out of Milwaukee County being at the home. The tip led to the arrest of Douglas Love II, 31, on two felony warrants for sex offender registry violation charges filed in January.

●  Jacob Heim, 40, Darlington, was arrested on charges of bail jumping and operating while intoxicated at 5 p.m. Sept. 24 following a traffic complaint on Galena Street.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Sept. 20 to 26, police performed 96 security checks, 19 citizen assists, eight assists of other agencies, eight follow-ups to incidents, 15 vehicle registrations and 11 traffic stops; responded to 34 calls for service and reported nine EMS calls, 12 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and four fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported.

On Sept. 20:

●  A vehicle in violation of the city’s junk vehicle ordinance was reported at 1:29 a.m. in the 700 block of 21st Street. A warning was issued.

●  A barking dog was reported at 8:12 a.m. in the 1200 block of 14th Street. The owner was warned.

●  A gas drive-off was reported at 4:21 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A Brodhead woman, 18, was cited for inattentive driving, unsafe lane deviation and imprudent speed at 10:57 p.m. following a traffic crash in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Sept. 21:

●  A Brodhead man, 22, was cited for driving with a revoked license at 9:19 a.m. in the 2000 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A gas drive-off was reported at 5:21 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Sept. 22:

●  A Brodhead man, 44, was contacted in regard to a violation of his bond conditions at 10:09 a.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. The matter was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office.

●  A vehicle parked over the crosswalk was reported at 2:55 p.m. in the 1400 block of 21st Street. A warning was issued.

●  A vehicle that backed into a parked vehicle was reported at 4:35 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. No citations were issued as this happened on private property and was non-reportable.

On Sept. 23:

●  An Evansville woman, 66, was cited for no proof of vehicle insurance at 8:05 a.m. in the 300 block of 1st Street.

●  Harassment involving verbal threats was reported at 4:28 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 4th Avenue. It was referred to Probation and Parole.

On Sept. 24:

●  A dog at large was reported at 9:17 a.m. in the 1000 block of West 2nd Avenue. The owners were warned.

●  Theft of political signs taken from a yard was reported at 5:37 p.m. in the 1800 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Sept. 25:

●  A Monroe woman, 57, was cited for speeding at 8:35 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A dog at large was reported at 3:28 p.m. in the 1200 block of East 4th Avenue. The owners were warned.

●  Suspicious activity involving a car with lights on was reported at 7:12 p.m. in the 200 block of 1st Street. No suspicious activity was found.

On Sept. 26:

●  Excessive noise was reported at 1:06 a.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue. Verbal warnings were issued.

●  A Brodhead man, 39, was cited for speeding at 8:44 a.m. in the 300 block of West 3rd Avenue.


Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — On Sept. 21:

●  Vandalism to a bathroom was reported at 7:22 a.m. at Montesian Park. Video surveillance is being reviewed, and the investigation is ongoing.

●  A folding chair was reported found at 8:11 a.m. at Lake Montesian.

On Sept. 22:

●  An unregistered vehicle was reported at 1:24 p.m. in the 300 block of South Garfield Street. A citation was issued after the 10-day warning letter expired.

●  Unregistered vehicles were reported at 1:43 p.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street, at 1:56 p.m. in the 500 block of East Park Avenue, at 6:14 p.m. in the 400 block of East Coates Avenue and at 6:23 p.m. in the 200 block of Oak Ridge Avenue. Warning letters were issued.

●  Police assisted New Glarus police with a person who fled on foot from a traffic stop at 5:32 p.m.

●  A medical call was reported at 7:08 p.m. within the village

On Sept. 23:

●  Police assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office with a welfare check at 9:29 a.m. in the township.

On Sept. 25:

●  Police located a vehicle parked in a no-parking zone at 8:40 a.m. in the 200 block of South Main Street. A parking citation was issued.

●  Police responded to check welfare at 9:02 a.m. in the 400 block of South Monroe Street.

●  Illegal dumping of eight paint cans was reported at 1:33 p.m. at the Village Recycling Center. The cans had been dropped off after-hours outside the gate. Police reviewed surveillance camera footage and identified a person from the township as a suspect. Investigation is ongoing.


Lafayette  County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Sept. 6:

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 6:23 p.m. on County Z, Town of Darlington.

●  An erratic driver was reported at 6:39 p.m. on County I, Town of Benton.

●  Melinda J. Kammerude, 33, Benton, was cited for speeding on an ATV at 6:49 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  Criminal damage to property was reported at 6:52 p.m. on County K, Town of Gratiot. A UTV had torn up a property.

●  Steven S. Hanson, 62, Browntown, was cited for operating an ATV while intoxicated after a deputy responded at 6:56 p.m. to Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot, to assist the Wisconsin DNR with an ATV offense.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:50 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.

●  Scott M. McDonald, 36, Shullsburg, was cited for operating an ATV while intoxicated after a deputy responded at 8:12 p.m. to County K, Town of Gratiot, to assist the Wisconsin DNR with an ATV offense.

●  Dylan T. Bonin, 22, Dodgeville, was arrested by Dodgeville police on a Lafayette County warrant at 9:12 p.m. and later released on a cash bond.

On Sept. 7:

●  Maximo Murillo-Lopez, 55, Belmont, was cited for no proof of vehicle insurance at 6:06 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  A deputy came upon an animal problem at 10:11 a.m. on South Galena Street in South Wayne.

●  A deputy came upon a disabled vehicle at 10:50 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne.

●  Kathryn M. Dwyer, 61, Chana, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 1:34 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy assisted a citizen at 3:12 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.

●  Deputies assisted Darlington police at 3:48 p.m. on Sunset Terrace in Darlington.

●  Helga Wantschik, 72, Elkhorn, was cited for speeding at 4:37 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with a theft complaint at 8:08 p.m. on West Cornelia Street in Darlington.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 9:37 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota.

On Sept. 8:

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 10:18 a.m. on County Y, Town of Wiota.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:12 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:52 p.m. on County Z, Town of Darlington.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 11:48 p.m. on North Green Street in Argyle. Argyle EMS assisted.

On Sept. 9:

●  An abandoned vehicle was reported at 11:02 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne.

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 1:20 p.m. on Main Street in Gratiot.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 3:24 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota.

●  A juvenile problem was reported at 5:28 p.m. on South Van Buren Street in Benton.

On Sept. 10:

●  Corey E. Noble, 28, Darlington, was cited for non-registration of a vehicle and no vehicle insurance at 2:33 a.m. on County PP, Town of Monticello.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:43 p.m. on County F, Town of Blanchard.

●  Disorderly conduct between a 17-year-old boy and his parents was reported at 8:33 p.m. on Noble Street in Gratiot. Deputies arrested and booked the teen on charges of disorderly conduct and battery, then released him to a responsible party. The incident resulted in minor injuries. Charges were referred to the District Attorney’s office.

On Sept. 11:

●  Jack R. Mutchler, 21, Pleasant Prairie, was cited for speeding at 12:20 a.m. on County P, Town of Gratiot.

●  Jesse J.D. Weber, 19, Platteville, was cited for speeding at 6:05 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  Trespassing was reported at 8:59 a.m. on Kainz Road, Town of Blanchard.

●  Deputies responded at 12:08 p.m. to West Center Street in South Wayne for a complaint of someone making threats. As a result, Michelle R. Zoller, 41, South Wayne, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting or obstructing an officer, bail jumping and indecent exposure. She was jailed.

●  A traffic hazard of a tree on the roadway was reported at 4:43 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.

●  Maynard A. Edge, 68, Darlington, was cited for driving with a revoked license at 6:45 p.m. on County F, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A deputy came upon a suspicious vehicle at 11:33 p.m. on Mound Avenue Road, Town of Belmont.

On Sept. 12:

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with a citizen assist at 2:37 a.m. on West Alice Street in Darlington.

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with a traffic stop at 3:21 a.m. on Christenson Drive in Darlington.

●  A deputy responded at 6:40 a.m. to North Judgement Street in Shullsburg for an alarm.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 7:41 a.m. on West High Street in Shullsburg.

●  Property damage was reported at 11:46 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 1:37 p.m. on Ames Road, Town of Darlington.

●  An intoxicated man causing a disturbance in the area was reported at 7:44 p.m. on Redfearn Lane, Town of New Diggings. Deputies located him and determined it was a minor disorderly conduct incident and related to alcohol and health issues. The subject was released to a responsible party.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 9:30 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne.

●  Deputies responded at 11:24 p.m. to South McKnight Street in South Wayne for a domestic dispute. As a result, Ryan S. McIlvanie, 32, Freeport, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was transported to the jail, where he later posted bond and was released.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 11:35 p.m. on Lacey Road, Town of Wayne.

On Sept. 13:

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with a welfare check at 1:06 a.m. on Wells Street in Darlington.

●  A deputy assisted citizens on Main Street in Darlington at 2:34 a.m.

●  David P. Coogan, 61, Mineral Point, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after a deputy responded to a traffic complaint at 3:35 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Coogan was booked at the jail and later released to a responsible party.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7 a.m. on County G, Town of Kendall.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 10:21 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 11:31 a.m. on County F, Town of Seymour.

●  A deputy assisted a motorist at 11:57 a.m. on Main Street in Darlington.

●  An ATV complaint was reported at 2:01 p.m. on the Cheese Country Trail.

●  Deputies responded at 3:25 p.m. to Wis. 81, Town of Lamont, for a report of a child who had left a residence and was missing. Darlington police, Green County EMS of Darlington and the Darlington Fire Department assisted. The child was located by the father as responding units were arriving on scene and searching the area.
