Monroe Police 

MONROE — Domestic abuse between exes was reported at 12:53 a.m. Oct. 20 in the downtown area. The ex-boyfriend drove from his rural Monroe home into the city to talk to his ex-girlfriend, a Monroe resident. They got into a heated argument sitting in his vehicle along the street. At one point, she got out and ran down the street to get away from him. Officers located her. Meanwhile, the boyfriend walked into the police station lobby to report that she had punched him. An ambulance was called to treat his minor injuries on scene. Neither person was arrested. The case was referred to the District Attorney for a charging decision because the officers could not determine the primary aggressor based on the statements provided.

●  Mark A. Zakula, 67, Monroe, was arrested on felony bail jumping charges at 4:44 p.m. Oct. 28 after police responded to a residence in the 700 block of 16th Avenue for another matter. Zakula was found to be violating bond conditions from an ongoing court case by consuming alcohol. He was jailed pending court.


Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — Trespassing was reported at 11:14 a.m. Oct. 11 in the 400 block of North Monroe Street.

●  A dog running at large was reported at 3:35 p.m. Oct. 12 in the 500 block of East Park Avenue. The dog was caught by its owner prior to police arrival.

On Oct. 13:

●  A trailer parked in the roadway for over 24 hours was reported at 10:16 a.m. in the 500 block of Montesian Court. A warning was issued and the trailer removed.

●  Police assisted a citizen regarding the leaf ordinance at 11:43 a.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  Police assisted the Green County Human Services with an investigation at 11:46 a.m. in the 200 block of South Pierce Street.

●  Police assisted the Dane County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation at 1:11 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

On Oct. 14:

●  Police located an abandoned vehicle at 7:58 a.m. on Adams Road near East Wisconsin Avenue. The vehicle was removed by the owner.

●  Police assisted Monticello First Response with traffic control at 12:50 p.m. on North Main Street at East Coated Avenue.

●  Fraud was reported at 1:52 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  Roman F. Evanco, 25, Madison, was cited for no vehicle insurance at 2:54 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue.

●  Rory S. Privett, 27, Brodhead, was cited for non-registration of vehicle, failure to obtain vehicle title, displaying false registration and driving without a valid license at 3:50 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue.

●  A disturbance was reported at 4:16 p.m. in the 100 block of West Highland Avenue.

On Oct. 15:

●  A dog running at large was reported at 11:15 a.m. in the 100 block of Lake Avenue. The dog was recovered prior to police arrival.

●  Police responded to check welfare at 1:53 p.m. in the 100 block of East Park Avenue. Everything was fine.

●  A vehicle alarm was reported at 5:14 p.m. in the 100 block of Staedtler Avenue. The owner stopped the alarm. 

On Oct. 16:

●  A wide-open residence door was reported at 2:12 p.m. in the 200 block of South Main Street. It was determined the weather blew the door open.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Donalvin Weatherby, 26, Madison, was cited for speeding, driving without a license and possession of THC at 1:28 p.m. Oct. 19 in the W5200 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe.

● Billy J. Kroneman, 27, Marshall, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded for a report of a disorderly person at a business in the 400 block of 2nd Street in New Glarus at 1:47 a.m. Oct. 26. He was jailed and released after posting bond.

●  A westbound vehicle in the eastbound lane was reported at 6:29 p.m. Oct. 27 on Wis. 11 near the Argyle interchange with Wis. 81 and Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. Todd M. Morgan, 48, Shullsburg, was arrested on a felony fourth-offense charge of operating while intoxicated. He was also cited for open intoxicants in a vehicle and driving the wrong way on a divided highway. He was jailed pending court.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Oct. 6:

●  An animal bite was reported at 1:15 p.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Belmont.

●  Renee L. Frith, 52, Peosta, Iowa, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 6:53 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy located a disabled vehicle at 7:12 p.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove.

●  A deputy assisted with a vehicle unlock at 8:56 p.m. on County M, Town of Wiota.

●  Nelson D. Ennis, 38, Milwaukee, was cited for speeding and possession of a controlled substance at 9:25 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A deputy assisted a citizen at 11:16 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.

On Oct. 7:

●  An erratic driver was reported at 3:15 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  Sara M. Zinser, 25, Stockton, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 4:54 p.m. on County W, Town of Shullsburg.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 7:20 p.m. on County I, Town of Benton. It was a person parked on the side of the road speaking on a cellphone.

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 9:23 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne. Todd M. Morgan, 48, South Wayne, was cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control and driving a vehicle on an ATV trail. The Green County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

●  Scot M. Meneguin, 34, Argyle, was arrested  on a charge of driving after revocation due to an OWI at 2:18 a.m. at Wis. 81 and County G in Argyle. He was transported to jail and released to a responsible party. He was also cited for unnecessary acceleration and operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol content.

●  An animal-related complaint of trespassing to land was reported at 3:37 a.m. on Valley Road, Town of Argyle.

●  A deputy responded for an alarm at 12:50 p.m. on Mill Street in Blanchardville.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 2:30 p.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle.
