Brodhead Police
BRODHEAD — For the week of Oct. 6-12, police performed 50 security checks, 26 citizen assists, six assists of other agencies, 11 follow-ups to incidents and 10 vehicle registrations; responded to 40 calls for service, five EMS calls, one fire call and nine 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made 12 traffic stops. No detox or mental health transports were reported.
On Monday, Oct. 7:
● A cat with a can stuck on its head was reported at 3:22 a.m. in the 100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The animal was located and the can removed.
● A dog at large was reported at 9:05 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner was warned.
● Unwanted subjects at a residence were reported at 4:01 p.m. in the 1000 block of 19th Street. Police determined it was a civil matter.
● A person attempting to panhandle was reported at 7:16 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued.
On Tuesday, Oct. 8:
● A Janesville woman, 29, was cited for speeding and operating a motor vehicle without insurance at 9:27 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
On Wednesday, Oct. 9:
● Harassment involving unsolicited messages through social media was reported at 2:39 p.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street. A warning was issued.
On Thursday, Oct. 10:
● A crosswalk violation was reported at 7:41 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. It remained under investigation.
● A dog at large was reported at 9:43 a.m. in the 2000 block of West 7th Avenue. The owner was warned.
● Harassment involving unsolicited contact was reported at 9:56 a.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street. A warning was issued.
● A code violation of grass clippings in the roadway was reported at 2:41 p.m. in the 100 block of 1st Street. A warning was issued.
On Friday, Oct. 11:
● A Rockford, Illinois man, 52, was cited for speeding at 5:02 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
● A vehicle that struck a garage door was reported at 8:50 a.m. in the 300 block of 14th Street. The incident remained under investigation.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE — On Wednesday, Oct. 9:
● Jacob A. Riley, 22, Argyle, was arrested on warrant issued by the Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Division, as well as on a Monroe Police Department warrant, at 4:57 p.m. at the Green County Sheriff’s Office. He was held at the jail.
On Thursday, Oct. 10:
● Matthew W. Schmid, 39, Albany, was arrested on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrant at 2:23 a.m. in the 200 block of East Nichols Street in Albany. He was jailed.
● John L. Carothers Muszynski, 27, Albany, turned himself in at the jail on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrant at 4:21 p.m.
On Friday, Oct. 11:
● Nora Raafat, 30, Madison, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after deputies responded to a 2:58 a.m. traffic complaint of a vehicle being operated without taillights southbound on Wis. 69 in New Glarus. Deputies located and stopped the vehicle in the N4900 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington. Raafat was also cited for operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration greater than 0.15% and driving without taillights in hours of darkness. She was booked at the jail, then released pending court.
● Tammy L. Klapper Kaderly, 48, Monroe, was arrested at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe at 9:19 a.m. after having a probation hold place on her by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. She was jailed.
● Deputies responded for a report of a vehicle in the ditch at 10:02 p.m. in the N6100 block of County E, Town of Albany. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Nicholas J. Roth, 39, Albany, who advised that his vehicle ran out of gas. He was found to have a felony warrant out for his arrest through Green County for charges of bail jumping, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and contact after a domestic abuse arrest. He was arrested and transported to the jail. Upon entering the jail, deputies discovered Roth was in possession of methamphetamine. He was subsequently charged with felony possession of a Schedule II drug with an enhancer of possessing drugs in a jail. He was held at the jail pending court.
Monroe Police
MONROE — An intoxicated, unruly person was reported at the Monroe Clinic ER at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8. As a result, officers cited Katie L. Mari, 29, Albany, for disorderly conduct, then released her to a responsible person.
● Officers made contact with a subject walking on the Badger Trail in the 300 block of 18th Avenue at 12:57 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, after responding to a complaint of a person walking on the trail at a late hour. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Aaron C. Bernet, 40, Monroe, on a warrant issued by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office for failure to pay a fine on a citation for discharging more than 30 gallons of solid waste on public or private property. Bernet was unable to post the required bond and was eventually turned over to Lafayette County authorities, who transported him to the Lafayette County Jail. He was later released on a cash bond.
● Officers made contact with an occupied vehicle at a closed business in the 100 block of North 18th Avenue at 2:18 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11. Investigation resulted in the driver, Gregory G. Grunewald, 38, New Glarus, being arrested on a third-offense charge of operating while intoxicated. He was booked and then released pending court after posting the required bond. He was also cited for having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
● Casey S. Arnsmeier, 25, Monroe, was arrested on charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 5:06 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, following a traffic stop in the 800 block of 20th Avenue. Arnsmeier was booked and released pending court.
Darlington Police
DARLINGTON — Robin D. Fries, 63, Darlington, was arrested for a restraining order violation at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, on East Cornelia Street. Fries was booked and later released from the jail.
● John R. Turpin, 51, Darlington, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at about 10:35 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, following a traffic stop on Wis. 81. He was cited for drinking open intoxicants in a motor vehicle and operating left of center, as well as failing to obey a traffic sign after crossing the closed bridge on Main Street.
On Sunday, Oct. 6:
● Meagan L. Breitbach, 32, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license and with no proof of vehicle insurance at 7:46 a.m. following a traffic stop on Wis. 81.
● Brian E. Lancaster, 46, Darlington, was arrested on a felony fourth-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 8:28 a.m. on Galena Street after an officer observed him drive past a marked police car drinking a Bud Light. He was also arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license and cited for possessing open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. He was jailed.
On Monday, Oct. 7:
● David A. Ramos-Godoy, 29, Darlington, was arrested on charges of strangulation and suffocation, false imprisonment, battery and disorderly conduct at 1:51 a.m. following a domestic abuse incident at a residence on Galena Street. He was jailed pending court.
On Tuesday, Oct. 8:
● Adam J. Leather, 28, Shullsburg, was referred to the Lafayette County District Attorney’s Office for a charge of driving with a revoked license due to a prior OWI offense following a traffic stop at about 3:15 a.m. on Center Drive.
● Tarig T. Leuchtenmacher, 20, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license and cited for non-registration of an auto at about 9:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, following a traffic stop on East Lucy Street.
On Saturday, Oct. 12:
● Cody R. Crompton, 19, Darlington, was arrested and jailed on charges operating while under the influence of marijuana and possessing methamphetamine at 1:59 a.m. following a traffic stop on Galena Street.
● Marcus P. Gilberts, 28, Darlington, was cited for theft at about 4 p.m. following an investigation at a businesses on Main Street.
On Sunday, Oct. 13:
● Chad L. Hofmann, 42, Andalusia, Illinois, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 12:42 a.m. following a report of a fight at a tavern on Main Street. He was booked into the jail and has since been bailed out.

DARLINGTON — On Thursday, Oct. 3:
● A deputy responded to assist a motorist at 2:34 a.m. on County O, Town of Kendall.
● A traffic hazard of water over the roadway was reported at 4:04 a.m. on Water Street in Blanchardville.
● Theft was reported at 1:51 p.m. on Kingsley Road, Town of Gratiot.
● A deputy assisted Darlington police with a welfare check at 2:51 p.m. on Christenson Drive in Darlington.
● A disabled vehicle was reported at 3:20 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.
● A traffic hazard of a truck and trailer parked in the roadway was reported at 5:20 p.m. on Truman Road, Town of Kendall.
● Deputies assisted Darlington police with a traffic stop at 10:12 p.m. on Wis. 81 in Darlington.
On Friday, Oct. 4:
● A deputy responded at 7:59 a.m. to Railroad Avenue in Benton to assist with a vehicle lockout.
● An animal problem was reported at 9:13 a.m. on Hill Street, Town of Darlington.
● Kelly D. Gomez, 44, Kenosha, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 9:32 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.
● A juvenile problem was reported at 9:38 a.m. on Cross Street in Blanchardville.
● A civil dispute was reported at 12:22 p.m. on South Street in Argyle.
● Deputies responded at 2:36 p.m. to Old Q Road, Town of Blanchard, for a residential alarm.
● A juvenile problem was reported at 3:48 p.m. on Alma Street in Benton.
● An animal injured in the roadway was reported at 6 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.
● Suspicious activity was reported at 7:08 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.

● Debris on the roadway was reported at 8:27 p.m. on County F, Town of Darlington.
● Deputies responded to assist Shullsburg police with a civil dispute at 8:49 p.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.
On Saturday, Oct. 5:
● Laura L. Gundlach, 51, Shullsburg, was cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance after deputies responded at 12:21 a.m. to Spring Street in Darlington for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Darlington police assisted on scene.
● Livestock on the roadway was reported at 12:43 a.m. on Ames Road, Town of Darlington.
● Laura L. Gundlach, 51, Shullsburg, was cited for driving with a revoked license and no vehicle insurance at 2:06 a.m. on Ames Road, Town of Darlington.
● A deputy responded at 5:12 a.m. to East Webster Street in Benton for a residential alarm. The Green County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.
● A deputy came across a disabled vehicle at 5:46 a.m. on County J, Town of Benton.
● A deputy responded to assist with unlocking a vehicle at 8:42 a.m. on West Grove Street in South Wayne.
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 10:52 a.m. on South Street in Argyle. Argyle EMS assisted on scene.
● A civil dispute was reported at 12:37 p.m. on Old Q Road, Town of Argyle.
● An erratic driver was reported at 3:33 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. Darlington police assisted on scene.
● A deputy responded to assist a citizen at 3:43 p.m. on Mineral Street, Town of Wiota.
