Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Nov. 3-9, police performed 31 security checks, 55 citizen assists, 24 assists of other agencies, nine follow-ups to incidents and 15 vehicle registrations; responded to 21 calls for service, 10 EMS calls, two fire calls and eight 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made seven traffic stops. No mental health or detox transports were reported.

On Sunday, Nov. 3: 

●  A dog at large was reported at 12:09 p.m. in the 700 block of 14th Street. The animal was not located.

●  A semi driver was warned for driving off the truck route at 10:22 p.m. after police received complaints of the truck being driven in the 900 block of West Exchange Street.

On Monday, Nov. 4:

●  An animal at large was reported at 6:21 a.m. in the 700 block of 5th Street. The animal was not located.

●  A Brodhead woman, 43, was warned for not having vehicle insurance at 6:23 a.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

●  A dog running in the area of the 200 block of Cedar Avenue was reported at 8:20 a.m. Police warned the dog owner for allowing it to run at large.

●  A Janesville man, 19, was cited for driving without a valid license and warned for driving with no vehicle insurance and a cracked windshield at 12:36 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Tuesday, Nov. 5:

●  A Brodhead woman, 34, was cited for a seatbelt violation and for driving without carrying a license at 2:55 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Wednesday, Nov. 6:

●  Police received a complaint at 7:17 a.m. of vehicles speeding in the area of the 700 block of 17th Street.

●  Police issued a citation for underage drinking at 11:59 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

●  A traffic accident involving property damage was reported at 6:19 p.m. in the 600 block of 18th Street. It remained under investigation.

On Thursday, Nov. 7:

●  Police checked the welfare of a person at 1:45 a.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The person had fallen asleep.

●  A code violation of an idling vehicle was reported at 7:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of West 2nd Avenue. It remained under investigation. 

●  A Brodhead woman, 29, was warned for allowing an animal to run at large at 7:56 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Exchange Street.

●  A Brodhead woman, 41, was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant at 3:32 p.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street.

●  A dog running loose was reported at 7:05 p.m. in the 600 block of 13th Street. It was not located.

●  A Davis, Illinois man, 29, was cited for having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle at 9:40 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Friday, Nov. 8:

●  A parking violation of a vehicle parked left of center was reported at 1:59 a.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street. A warning was issued.

●  A Brodhead woman, 34, was cited for speeding and not carrying a driver’s license at 7:17 a.m. in the 2200 block of East 9th Avenue.

●  A Brodhead man, 48, was cited for failure to stop for a stop sign or signal at 10:47 a.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A Janesville woman, 24, was cited for speeding at 10:34 p.m. in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue.

On Saturday, Nov. 9:

●  An Evansville man, 48, was cited for driving with a revoked license and warned for no proof of vehicle insurance at 10:38 p.m. in the 900 block of 21st Street.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Lucas S. Roesslein, 40, Monroe, was arrested on a Green County child support warrant in the 800 block of 19th Avenue at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, following a request for a welfare check on a person. He was jailed.

●  Brendon D. Collins, 29, New Glarus, was cited for driving with a revoked license after officers stopped him on the ramp to Wis. 11 at 6th Avenue West at 5:46 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13. He was also arrested on three outstanding warrants: one through Rock County for felony bail jumping, one through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and one through the Janesville Police Department for fifth-offense operating while intoxicated. He was jailed.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Tuesday, Nov. 12:

●  Timothy D. Kennedy, 37, Monroe, was arrested at the Green County Justice Center at 10:52 a.m. on a probation hold placed on him by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was jailed.

●  Thor A. Crapp, 31, Monticello, was arrested at the Green County Justice Center at 4:14 p.m. on a probation hold placed on him by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was jailed.

●  Angel M. Koppes, 55, Albany, was arrested on a Rock County warrant after deputies responded at 8:37 p.m. to a reported disturbance in the N5700 block of Frances Circle, Town of Albany. She was jailed.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Tuesday, Oct. 29:

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 11:06 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

●  An injured animal in the roadway was reported at 12:04 p.m. on Roper Road, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded to assist a citizen at 2:41 p.m. on West Catherine Street in Darlington.

●  A deputy responded to assist with unlocking a vehicle at 4:32 p.m. on County G, Town of Kendall.

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 5:33 p.m. on County G, Town of Fayette.

●  A dog running at large was reported at 7:05 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

On Wednesday, Oct. 30:

●  A deputy responded for an alarm at 3:57 a.m. on Miner Way in Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 7:11 a.m. on Crawford Lane, Town of Benton.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 9:46 a.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

●  Deputies assisted the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office with an alarm at 11:55 a.m. on Maple Street in Apple River, Illinois. Shullsburg police assisted on scene.

●  A theft was reported at 2:25 p.m. on Carr Factory Road, Town of Benton.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 3:31 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 6:38 p.m. on County K, Town of Gratiot.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 8:26 p.m. on White School Road, Town of Gratiot.

●  A deputy came upon a disabled vehicle at 8:56 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Belmont police assisted on scene.

●  A traffic hazard of a semi stuck in the road was reported at 11:16 p.m. on Bethel Grove Road, Town of Kendall.

On Thursday, Oct. 31:

●  A deputy came upon a vehicle in the ditch at 12:27 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 12:44 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle; at 6:44 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs; at 7:02 a.m. on Spore Road, Town of Argyle; and at 8:12 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  A deputy came upon a disabled vehicle at 3:12 a.m. on Bockhop Lane, Town of Belmont.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 4:33 a.m. on Patch Road, Town of Gratiot.

●  Jerlin M. Lopez-Aguirrez, 23, Shullsburg, was cited fro driving without a valid license after a deputy came upon a vehicle in the ditch at 5:12 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

●  Cheyenne L. Bottomley, 24, Platteville, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after a deputy responded at 5:18 a.m. for a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Mitchell Hollow Road, Town of Belmont. Bottomley was also cited for failure to maintain control and released to a responsible party. Her passenger, Jacob S. McPhail, 27, Platteville, was cited for having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 10:56 a.m. on County M, Town of Wiota.

●  Madeline K. Gorski, 20, Wonder Lake, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 11:41 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

●  Kelly J. Grassman, 45, Benton, was cited for speeding at 4:04 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings.

●  A traffic hazard of metal lying in the roadway was reported at 4:48 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

●  Deputies responded to unlock a vehicle at 9:49 p.m. on South Sidney Street in Shullsburg.

●  Skye K. R. Hoffman, 19, Blanchardville, was cited for speeding and no vehicle insurance at 11:05 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Blanchard.

On Friday, Nov. 1:

●  A deputy came across a vehicle in the ditch at 2:02 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  Deputies responded for a commercial alarm at 7:04 a.m. on Mill Street in Blanchardville.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:49 a.m. on County D, Town of Wiota.

●  A hit-and-run was reported at 10:52 a.m. on County H, Town of Blanchard.

●  A deputy responded at 4:06 p.m. to Wis. 23 in Darlington to assist Darlington police with a gas drive-off.

●  A deputy responded to assist with unlocking a vehicle at 5:42 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

●  A deputy responded at 7:01 p.m. to County K in Darlington to assist Darlington police with an animal injured on the roadway.

●  A deputy responded at 9:40 p.m. to Wis. 23 in Darlington to assist Darlington police with a two-vehicle accident.

On Saturday, Nov. 2:

●  A deputy assisted Shullsburg police with a welfare check at 12:09 a.m. on Iowa Street in Shullsburg.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 9:51 a.m. on County D, Town of Shullsburg.

●  An animal problem was reported at 12:16 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 3:42 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

●  Richard J. Faron, 25, New Lenox, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 4:35 p.m. on County W in Shullsburg.
