Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — Spencer T. Hocking, 30, Darlington, and John Brenner, 25, Dubuque, Iowa, were referred to the Lafayette County District Attorney’s Office at about 11:15 a.m. Thursday, May 16, following an investigation of a theft at a business on Wis. 23. Hocking was also cited for driving with a revoked license, operating a non-registered motor vehicle and not having vehicle insurance. They were released pending court.

On Saturday, May 18:

●  Aaron T. Nielsen, age 41, of Belmont, was cited for driving with a revoked license at about 9:15 a.m. following a traffic stop on Center Hill Road.

●  Justin T. Larsen, 32, Dickinson, Texas, was cited for speeding at about 10:40 a.m. following a traffic stop on Wis. 23.

●  Dakota R. Soppe, 22, Darlington, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at about 5:10 p.m. following a disturbance at a residence on East Street. He was jailed pending court. He was then cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, following an investigation at a residence on East Street.

On Monday, May 20:

●  Stacey C. McGuire, 39, South Wayne, was arrested for a probation violation at about 4 p.m. following police contact at a business on Wis. 23. She was jailed pending court.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Chesney C. Wirth, 28, Monroe, was arrested on domestic abuse-related charges of battery, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after deputies responded at 4:55 a.m. to a physical altercation in the W4500 block of Samson Road, Town of Jefferson. She was jailed pending bond or court.

●  Samantha J. Johnson, 23, Elkhorn, was cited for expired plates and failure to stop at a stop sign at 8:56 p.m. on Sunny Lane, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy encountered a disabled vehicle at 9:26 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont.

●  Nathaniel A. Lueders, 20, Clinton, Iowa, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 10:15 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont.

●  Bradley D. Kieler, 43, Platteville, was arrested by Belmont police for a probation and parole violation at 11:43 p.m. on West Mound View Avenue in Belmont. He was jailed.

On Friday, May 10:

●  Richard D. Thomas, 34, Darlington, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after deputies responded at 12:32 p.m. to a traffic complaint on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne. Thomas was taken to the sheriff’s office, where he was released to a responsible party. He was also cited for operating left of center, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia.

●  Deputies responded for a traffic complaint at 1:45 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. Green County EMS of Darlington assisted on scene.

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 3:26 p.m. on County B, Town of Wayne.

●  A complaint of threats being made was reported at 3:55 p.m. on County N, Town of Wiota.

●  Cynthia D. Corley, 57, Darlington, was cited for speeding at 9:07 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Gratiot.

●  A deputy assisted Blanchardville police with a complaint of disorderly conduct at 10:48 p.m. on School Street in Blanchardville.

●  Matthew C. Cain, 50, Galena, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 5:47 p.m. on County W, Town of New Diggings.

●  Scott E. Walton, 39, Shullsburg, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 11:05 p.m. on County A, Town of Shullsburg. He was also cited for failure to maintain an exhaust system, driving without vehicle insurance and unreasonable and imprudent speed. He was transported to the jail, where he was later released to a responsible party.

●  Amber L. Neis, 32, Blanchardville, was cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance and non-registration of an auto at 10:20 a.m. on North State Street in Argyle.

●  Kelly M. Vartabedian, 32, Belvidere, Illinois, was cited for possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 8:12 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello. A passenger, Ryan J. Crombie, 39, Roscoe, Illinois, was cited for possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia.

●  Juan A. Amaya-Valladarez, 44, Cuba City, was cited for driving without a valid license at 8:26 p.m. on County H, Town of Benton.

●  Thomas C. Kessenich, 60, Mount Horeb, was arrested on a Lafayette County warrant at 7:50 p.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle. He was transported to the jail, where he was booked and later posted bond.

●  Teri A. Bredeson, 34, Argyle, was arrested on a Lafayette County warrant at 8:24 p.m. on North State Street in Argyle. She was jailed.

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with assisting a citizen at 10:39 p.m. on Keep Street in Darlington. Green County EMS of Darlington assisted on scene.
