Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of May 10-16, police performed 30 security checks, 16 citizen assists, 10 assists of other agencies, 19 follow-ups to incidents, 19 vehicle registrations and no traffic stops; responded to 15 calls for service and reported eight EMS calls, one fire call and 11 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls. No mental health or detox transports were reported.

On May 10:

●  A dog at large was reported at 2:42 p.m. in the 1400 block of East 4th Avenue. The dog was returned to its owner.

On May 11:

●  An assault that occurred in the 1600 block of 20th Street was reported at 12:30 p.m. Police made contact, and no citations were issued.

●  Disorderly conduct involving people having a verbal disagreement was reported at 1:57 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. No citations were issued.

●  Police responded to check welfare at 11:04 p.m. in the 400 block of East 5th Avenue. No contact was made with the subject.

On May 13:

●  Harassment involving unwanted messages was reported at 1:38 p.m. in the 1600 block of 20th Street. Police made contact, and the matter was resolved.

●  A gas drive-off was reported at 2:25 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. It remained under investigation.

On May 15:

●  A dog at large was reported at 5:32 p.m. in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner was warned.

●  A Brodhead man, 24, was cited for allowing an animal to run at large at 8:02 p.m. in the 400 block of East 5th Avenue.

On May 16:

●  A Brodhead man, 38, was warned for failure to display an ATV registration plate at 3:04 p.m. in the 1700 block of West 4th Avenue.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Jeanne E. Gebhardt, 58, Monroe, was arrested on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections apprehension request for a probation violation after officers responded to a report of an intoxicated woman at the Monroe Clinic ER at 6:25 p.m. May 13. She was jailed pending further proceedings. Gebhardt is on probation for a fourth-offense conviction of operating while intoxicated in Dane County.

●  Matthew W. Schmid, 40, Albany, called police at 6:39 p.m. May 14 wishing to turn himself in. Officers responded to the 1600 block of 4th Avenue and arrested him on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections apprehension warrant for a probation violation. He was jailed pending further proceedings.

●  Aiden J. Roesslein, 19, Monroe, was arrested at 3:49 a.m. May 16 in the 800 block of 6th Street on a felony warrant issued through the Department of Corrections. He was jailed.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Lindsey L. Koehler, 33, Juda, was arrested on a domestic-related charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 1:33 p.m. May 11 to a domestic disturbance in the W2900 block of Hafen Road, Town of Jefferson. She was jailed pending bond or court.

●  Curtis L. Curry, 24, Albany, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and cited for possession of marijuana after deputies responded at 7:36 a.m. May 13 to the 100 block of North Water Street in Albany for a reported domestic disturbance. He was jailed pending court.

●  Caleb M. Elmer, 17, Monroe, was arrested at 11:52 a.m. May 15 at a residence in the N2400 block of Van Matre Lane, Town of Clarno, on a warrant issued through Green County for felony charges of theft as a party to a crime and receiving a stolen firearm. He was jailed pending court.

●  Cameron P. O’Haver, 25, McConnell, Illinois, was arrested on domestic abuse-related charges of battery, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after deputies responded at 11:30 p.m. May 16 to a residence in the W2400 block of Swann Street, Town of Brooklyn, for a report of an altercation. He was jailed pending court or the posting of bond.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On May 6:

●  A civil dispute was reported at 12:47 p.m. on Shawnee Road, Town of New Diggings.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 1:15 p.m. on County G, Town of Argyle.

●  A deputy responded at 1:56 p.m. to County K, Town of Darlington, to assist the Probation and Parole.

●  A deputy responded at 2:11 p.m. to Division Street in Darlington to assist Darlington police with keeping the peace.

●  David M. Feuling, 62, Cross Plains, was cited for speeding at 8:47 p.m. on County X, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy responded at 8:49 p.m. to East Ann Street in Darlington to assist Darlington police with a traffic stop.

●  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9:08 p.m. on St. Rose Road, Town of Benton.

●  Stacey C. McGuire, 40, South Wayne, was arrested and jailed for a probation violation and on a charge of domestic disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 9:47 p.m. to County B, Town of Wayne. Deputies found no evidence of a physical altercation. McGuire was heavily intoxicated. She was jailed. The Green County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.

On May 7:

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 1:14 a.m. on County I, Town of Benton. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

●  An erratic driver was reported at 4:19 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  Joshua A. Cortez, 20, Darlington, was cited for speeding at 4:49 a.m. on County E, Town of Darlington.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 6:08 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

●  An animal injured on the roadway was reported at 6:05 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded to assist Waukesha County police with delivering a message at 6:12 p.m. on County Shop Road, Town of Darlington.

●  A traffic hazard of debris on the roadway was reported at 6:48 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 8:09 p.m. on East Truth Street in Shullsburg.

On May 8:

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 1:49 a.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 3:32 a.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 8:09 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 8:22 a.m. on County F, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 2:11 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 6:12 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 9:07 p.m. on Dobbs Road, Town of Lamont.

●  Steven L. Teasdale, 49, Ames, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 9:55 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  Quentin A. Yell, 29, Shullsburg, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 4:43 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 1:09 p.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 1:17 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 1:20 p.m. on County C, Town of Argyle.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 4:21 p.m. on Main Street in Gratiot.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 4:45 p.m. on County I, Town of New Diggings.

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 9:54 p.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.

On May 10:

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 5:01 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:49 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.

On May 11:

●  Criminal damage to property was reported at 9:33 a.m. on County N, Town of Wayne. It was a civil dispute between exes over returned clothing that was damaged.

●  A deputy responded at 10:04 a.m. to Center Hill Road in Darlington to assist Darlington police with a theft case.

●  A parking complaint was reported at 11:53 a.m. on Stub Lane, Town of Darlington.

●  Illegal dumping of a TV and some garbage was reported at 12:11 p.m. in the Town of Willow Springs.

●  Illegal dumping of eight tires on a farmer’s property was reported at 2:43 p.m. on Silverthorn Road, Town of Shullsburg.

●  Suspicious activity involving an older man going house to house was reported at 4 p.m on Main Street in Gratiot. The responding deputy was unable to locate the man.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 8:06 p.m. on East Water Street in Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded at 11:14 p.m. to Ohio Street in Darlington to assist Darlington police with delivery of a message.

On May 12:

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:52 a.m. on Lake Road, Town of Blanchard.

●  A deputy responded to assist with traffic control at 7:05 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  Criminal damage to property was reported at 7:51 a.m. on County I, Town of Benton.

●  An injured animal in the roadway was reported at 9:18 a.m. on Lancaster Road, Town of Lamont.

●  Theft was reported at 11:51 a.m. on Wildcat Road, Town of Darlington.

●  A female who appeared to be intoxicated or medically impaired was reported at 3:02 p.m. walking along County F, Town of Darlington. She was gone from the area upon a deputy’s arrival.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 4 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Benton.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 9:06 p.m. on Wildcat Road, Town of Darlington.

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 9:19 p.m. on West Harrison Street in Shullsburg.

On May 13:

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 5:38 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 11:03 a.m. on Palfrey Road, Town of Shullsburg.

●  An animal problem was reported at 4:08 p.m. on County G, Town of Kendall.

●  Steve W. Krisik, 55, Genoa City, was cited for possession of narcotic drugs after a deputy responded for a welfare check at 10:34 p.m. on South Lake Road, Town of Fayette.

On May 14:

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 2:32 p.m. on Russell Road, Town of Kendall.

●  A deputy responded to keep the peace at 3 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 4:09 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle.

●  Deputies responded to keep the peace at 8:23 p.m. on North Van Buren Street in Benton.

●  A deputy responded at 8:40 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne.

On May 15:

●  Theft of an old truck and trailer outside the village was reported at 9:13 a.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 1:46 p.m. on Sawmill Road, Town of Argyle.

●  Jonathan P. C. Hudik, 32, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 5:29 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 6:04 p.m. on East Hill Street in Blanchardville. The caller was concerned because he saw a young male park near his shed and then meet up with a young female. The pair drive away when they saw him.

●  Melvin R. Voss, 65, Pearl City, Illinois, was cited for passing in a no-passing zone at 6:17 p.m. on County W, Town of Shullsburg.

●  An erratic driver was reported at 6:24 p.m. on County G, Town of Argyle.

●  Harassment by an ex-husband was reported at 6:51 p.m. on South Street, Town of Argyle.

●  Deputies responded at 9:54 p.m. to Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg, to assist Shullsburg police with a complaint of an erratic driver.

On May 16:

●  A possible utility problem was reported at 4:37 a.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.

●  Joseph R. Wetenkamp, 35, Janesville, was cited for speeding at 6:24 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 7:06 a.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle. A passerby noticed that two Lamer’s buses parked near the Cenex gas station had doors open. A responding deputy located nothing suspicious.

●  Several UTVs being recklessly driven were reported at 11:41 p.m. on County G, Town of Calamine. As a result, the following people were cited for careless operation of an ATV: Lisa C. Grzybek, 48, Antioch, Illinois; Christopher J. Grzybek; Marchan M. Lawrey, 48, Union Grove; Vasyl Nyshchei, 28, Hanover Park, Illinois; Nazarii Iakubiak, 32, Chicago; Vasyl Halchak, 30, Schaumburg, Illinois; Vitalii Fedyn, 32, Chicago; and Mykhailo Nyshchei, 29, Staten Island, New York. Darlington police assisted on scene.
