Brodhead Police
BRODHEAD — For the week of May 24-30, police performed 48 security checks, 30 citizen assists, 30 assists of other agencies, four follow-ups to incidents, 16 vehicle registrations and 11 traffic stops; responded to 13 calls for service and reported four EMS calls, 15 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and one fire call. No mental health or detox transports were reported.
On May 24:
● Open intoxicants were reported at 4:22 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police issued a warning.
● Illegal burning was reported at 6:43 p.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police issued a warning.
On May 25:
● A dog at large was reported at 10:39 a.m. in the 1600 block of East 8th Avenue. The dog owner was warned.
● A Westmont, Illinois man, 40, was cited for speeding at 6:43 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
On May 26:
● Theft was reported at 4:48 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. After investigation, police determined no offense had occurred.
● A Beloit man, 23, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 6:15 p.m. in the 300 block of East 9th Avenue.
On May 27:
● Damage to a vehicle was reported at 8 a.m. in the 800 block of East 2nd Avenue.
● A gas drive-off was reported at 10:31 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The driver was contacted and returned to pay for the gas.
On May 29:
● A curfew violation was reported at 2:09 a.m. in the 1100 block of 11th Street. Police warned the subjects.
On May 30:
● A Salem man, 24, was arrested for a probation violation at 1:17 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.
● Police responded to check welfare at 9:42 a.m. in the 1800 block of West 7th Avenue. All was fine.
● A barking dog was reported at 10:44 a.m. in the 1800 block of West 5th Avenue. Police made contact with the owner, and the dog was taken inside.
● Diesel fuel spilled on the roadway was reported at 1:32 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner of the vehicle was located, and the situation was taken care of.
Darlington Police
DARLINGTON — William M. Baisden, 60, Poplar Grove, Illinois, was cited for allowing a minor to ride an ATV without headgear at 6:12 p.m. May 29 on East Ann Street.
● Miranda L. Rebout, 42, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of unauthorized use of an individual’s personal identifying information to avoid civil or criminal process or penalty at about 10:40 p.m. May 29 following a traffic stop on Main Street. She was booked at the jail and later released on signature bond. She was also cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance.
● Nancy Viveros-Aguilar, 38, Darlington, was cited for loud and unnecessary noise at 2:31 a.m. May 31 following a noise complaint at a residence in the 600 block of Keep Street.
● Saulo E. Pena-Montoya, 36, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license, no vehicle insurance, failure to keep a vehicle under control and hit-and-run on an unattended vehicle following a hit-and-run accident with injuries that occurred at about 3:55 a.m. May 31 on Galena Street.
Monroe Police
MONROE — On May 31:
● Michael S. Teal, 50, Monroe, was arrested for bail jumping at 2:11 a.m. at his residence in the 1000 block of 17th Street. Teal called the police because he couldn’t get into his house. When officers arrived, he admitted to being at a bar and drinking that night, in violation of his court-ordered bond conditions.
● Nakiah S. Hokanson, 25, Orfordville, was arrested on charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon at 2:20 a.m. following a traffic stop for having a headlight out in the 2900 block of 13th Street. Officers noticed an odor of marijuana and a subsequent search also located a pistol in her purse. She did not have a carry permit for the weapon. She was booked and released pending court.
● Jacob H. Raetz, 23, Orangeville, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 3:27 a.m. after officers were called to the Monroe Clinic ER for a report that he was intoxicated and being combative with medical staff.
● Beginning at about 10:30 p.m., police responded to several calls from teenagers involved in an earlier fight with minor injuries. Officers and an ambulance were called first to a residence in the 1700 block of 14th Street for one person who suffered stabbing injuries. An hour later, officers and an ambulance were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of 16th Avenue for another person injured by a swinging belt buckle. It was unclear where the altercation occurred and it took hours to determine who was involved. It appeared to be a fight between acquaintances. Officers wrapped up the investigation for the night at about 4 a.m., without arresting anyone.
On June 1:
● Andrew A. Mudgett, 32, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws after officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 1900 block of 11th Street at 2:27 a.m. June 2. He posted the required bail and was released pending court.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE — On May 26:
● Janice L. Teasdale, 36, Monroe, was arrested on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrant at 12:17 p.m. at a residence in the N2400 block of Ullom Road, Town of Cadiz. She was jailed.
● Derek J. Grinnell, 30, Monroe, was arrested on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections probation hold at 2:23 p.m. at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe. He was jailed.
On May 27:
● Thor A. Crapp, 31, Monticello, turned himself in on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrant at 6:56 p.m. at the sheriff’s office. He was jailed.
On June 1:
● Tristan H. Sauer, 20, Brodhead, was cited for speeding, driving with a revoked license and failure to install an ignition interlock device after deputies stopped him for speeding at 10:55 a.m. in the N6200 block of Wis. 69, Town of Mount Pleasant.
● Steven A. Steiner, 27, Browntown, turned himself in at the sheriff’s office at 12:01 p.m. on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections arrest warrant. He was jailed.
● Troy J. Gordee Sr., 38, Monticello, turned himself in at the sheriff’s office at 1:03 p.m. on two arrest warrants, one issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and the other issued by Green County for a felony charge of burglary and a misdemeanor charge of theft. Both charges were filed May 28 in Green County Circuit Court and are related to an alleged burglary in June 2019. Gordee was jailed. He signed a $2,500 signature bond the same day, with conditions that he have no contact with two people or their residence.
On June 3:
● Matthew W. Schmid, 40, Albany, was arrested on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrant at 12:29 p.m. at a residence in the 500 block of 3rd Street in Albany. He was jailed.
Lafayette County Sheriff
DARLINGTON — On May 21:
● A civil dispute was reported at 5:25 p.m. on Galena Street in Argyle.
● A traffic hazard was reported at 7:02 p.m. on County D, Town of Darlington.
● Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:12 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.
On May 22:
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 12:56 a.m. on East Truth Street in Shullsburg.
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 8:28 a.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.
● An alarm was reported at 10:31 a.m. on West Mound Avenue in Belmont. Wisconsin State Patrol assisted a deputy on scene.
● An animal problem was reported at 10:52 a.m. on Landon Road, Town of Kendall.
● A deputy responded to assist a citizen at 12:01 p.m. on Larse Road, Town of Gratiot.

● Nicholas R. Andrae, 19, Darlington, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 6:28 p.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 6:45 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.
● Logan M. Muhlstein, 21, Darlington, was cited for unreasonable and imprudent speeding at 7:57 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.
● A civil dispute was reported at 8:45 p.m. on West Harrison Street in Shullsburg.
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 8:55 p.m. on North Mound Avenue in Belmont.
● A 911 misdial was reported at 8:57 p.m. on County K, Town of Gratiot.
● Thomas Sanchez-Ochoa, 40, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated at 9:18 p.m. on Galena Street in Darlington. He was also cited for operating left of center, no vehicle insurance and no valid driver’s license. He was released to a responsible party. Darlington police assisted on scene.
● Jeremy J. Gratz, 42, Darlington, was cited for speeding on an ATV or UTV at 10:41 p.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.
On May 23:
● A deputy assisted Darlington police with a traffic stop at 12:46 a.m. on County Shop Road, Town of Darlington.
● Timothy I. Crenshaw, 30, Chicago, was cited for possession of marijuana at 2:13 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove. The Darlington Police Department K-9 unit assisted on scene.
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 5:49 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Belmont EMS assisted on scene.
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 10:24 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.
● Criminal damage to property was reported at 11:39 a.m. on County J in Benton.

● James M. DiGangi, 42, Darlington, was cited for a UTV seatbelt violation at 1:56 p.m. on Rowesville Road, Town of Shullsburg.

● Matthew G. Potterton, 29, Mineral Point, was cited for operating an ATV/UTV without a valid registration at 2:10 p.m. where the Cheese Country trail crosses County G in Calamine.
● Harassment was reported at 2:12 p.m. on 1st Street in Benton.
● A civil dispute was reported at 2:52 p.m. on Galena Street in Argyle.
● Richard R. Tuescher, 56, Darlington, was cited for unnecessary acceleration at 4:29 p.m. on Ames Road, Town of Darlington.
● Theodore J. Japczyk, 48, Harwood Heights, Illinois, was cited for operating an ATV in an undesignated area at 4:34 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington.
● Harassment was reported at 5:36 p.m. on County D, Town of Wayne. The caller complained that she was being harassed and threatened via Snapchat.
● Nick J. Gau, 63, Asbury, Iowa, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated at 6:37 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. He was transported to the sheriff’s office, where he was released to a responsible party. He was also cited for speeding.
● A 911 misdial was reported at 8:14 p.m. on Old Q Road, Town of Argyle.
● A 911 misdial was reported at 8:18 p.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs.
● A 911 misdial was reported at 8:49 p.m. on Hirsbrunner Road, Town of Fayette.
