Albany Police

ALBANY — Jamie L. Lindemann, 43, Albany, was cited Saturday, Jan. 12, for driving with a revoked license.

• Craig L. Bevins, 46, Monticello, was cited Sunday, Jan. 13, for driving with a suspended license.

●  Dustin R. Rhoades, 45, Albany, was cited Sunday, Jan. 13, for driving with a revoked license.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Jan. 6-12, police performed 35 security checks, 41 citizen assists, six assists of other agencies, eight vehicle registrations and six follow-ups to incidents; responded to 23 calls for service, five EMS calls, one fire call and 12 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made 17 traffic stops. There were two mental health transports and no detox transports.

On Monday, Jan. 7:

●  Police responded for a welfare check at 3:23 p.m. in the 2200 block of West 4th Avenue.

●  Harassment was reported at 4:50 p.m. in the 500 block of 11th Street.

On Thursday, Jan. 10:

●  An alarm going off was reported at 5:57 a.m. in the 200 block of Juniper Avenue. After police arrived, the source of the alarm was discovered to be a smoke detector on low batteries.

●  Truancy was reported at 1:37 p.m. and 1:48 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. The two subjects were warned.

●  A Janesville woman, 40, was cited for speeding at 4:44 p.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

●  Unkept trees and buildings were reported at 6:23 p.m. in the 1600 block of East 3rd Avenue.

●  Seven sidewalk code violations were reported between 6:38 p.m. and 6:47 p.m. in the 1200 block of 21st Street, 700 block of East 2nd Avenue, 700 block of 15th Street, 500 block of 10th Street, 500 block of 19th Street and 900 block of 4th Street.

●  A code violation involving an idling truck was reported at 6:56 p.m. in the 1100 block of West 2nd Avenue.

●  A Beloit man, 25, was cited for an expired vehicle registration and warned for speeding at 9:07 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

On Friday, Jan. 11:

●  A burglary was reported at 9:39 a.m. in the 1600 block of East 8th Avenue.

●  A parking complaint involving a vehicle parked on the property line was reported at 12:29 p.m. in the 600 block of West 3rd Avenue.

●  An Albany woman, 17, was cited for an expired vehicle registration at 3:22 p.m. in the 1200 block of 25th Street.

On Saturday, Jan. 12:

●  A vehicle egging was reported at 8:46 p.m. in the 700 block of McEwen Street.

●  A vehicle with an expired registration was reported at 4:48 p.m. in the 1200 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A person banging on a door was reported for disorderly conduct at 6:34 p.m. in the 700 block of East 4th Avenue. A warning was issued.

●  A gas drive-off was reported at 8:54 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.


New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS — On Monday, Jan. 7:

●  A theft from a vehicle in the village was reported at 11:03 a.m. Police were later advised there was no actual theft and someone had removed the items from the company vehicle legitimately.

●  At 1 p.m., police assisted Green County Human Services with transporting a suicidal juvenile to the Monroe Clinic ER for an evaluation at 1 p.m.

On Tuesday, Jan. 8:

●  At 10:30 a.m., police were requested by the Sterling (Illinois) Police Department for assistance in contacting an individual who works in New Glarus.

●  An adult-sized black bicycle was reported found at 10:50 a.m.

●  Jacob M. Slade, 19, Monticello, was cited for theft after police responded at 10:54 a.m. to a report of theft in the 10 block of Wis. 69. Slade allegedly used his position within a private company to embezzle money.

●  At 2:30 p.m., police were requested by the Green County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in removing a dead deer from the roadway at Wis. 69 at Exeter Road.

●  A dog running at large was reported at 4:27 p.m. in the 500 block of 14th Avenue. The dog was returned home.

●  Police were called at 7:01 p.m. to assist a person locked out of their vehicle in the 100 block of 5th Avenue.

●  Riley D. Miller, 24, Fitchburg, was cited for failure to notify the DMV of an address change following a traffic stop at 9:54 p.m. on Wis. 69 at Industrial Drive.

On Wednesday, Jan. 9:

●  Jeffrey R. Fritz, 52, Prairie du Sac, was cited for interfering with a police investigation after police responded at 9:08 am. to a 911 call in the 10 block of 5th Avenue.

On Thursday, Jan. 10:

●  Jeffrey L. Kleeman, 44, New Glarus, was arrested on a Green County warrant at 7:36 p.m. He was taken to the Green Couny Jail.

●  Ajay M. Suchomel, 20, Albany, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance at 10:24 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

On Friday, Jan. 11:

●  At 9:14 a.m., police assisted a sheriff’s office with an investigation that has ties to New Glarus.

●  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 4:38 p.m. in the 1000 block of 2nd Street. The vehicle nor the driver was located.

●  A vehicle parked illegally in the 300 block of 2nd Street was cited at 3:15 p.m.

●  A suspicious person going door to door wearing a face mask was reported at 5:29 p.m. in the 500 block of 14th Avenue. Police made contact with the person, who was an employee of Charter Communications.

●  A group of juveniles running across the highway was reported at 4:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69. Police checked the area and located no one.

●  Police were dispatched at 11:17 p.m. to 3rd Street for a report of an adult who was pulseless and not breathing. New Glarus EMS was on scene and attempted lifesaving measures, including CPR, without success. A death investigation was initiated, and the Green County Coroner was called to the scene. The cause of death is unknown, pending further investigation and autopsy results. The circumstances are not considered suspicious at this point.

On Saturday, Jan. 12:

●  Threats of harm to a juvenile over an online active shooter/killer video game were reported at 2:10 p.m.

●  Juan R. Enriquez Munoz, 50, Beloit, was cited for driving without a valid license or vehicle insurance after a traffic stop for an equipment violation at 6:43 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 14th Avenue.

●  Police assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office with an arrest at 11 p.m. on Old Madison Road at Wis. 69.

On Sunday, Jan. 13:

●  Police assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office with a suspicious activity call at 2 p.m. in the W3000 block of Wis. 92.

●  A dog was reported found at 6:01 p.m. in the 300 block of Durst Road. It was returned to its owner.

●  A dead cat in the roadway was reported at 6:20 p.m. in the 600 block of Wis. 69. The cat was removed. Police advised the village streets department of the pickup.

●  Neale R. Smith, 62, Madison, was cited for disorderly conduct after police responded at 6:26 p.m. to a disturbance at a bar in the 500 block of 1st Street.

●  A suspicious matter involving a juvenile at a local business was reported at 8:25 p.m. Green County Human Services was notified.

●  A dog roaming around the area of 14th Avenue was reported at 10 p.m. Officers were unable to establish the dog owner’s identity, so the animal was taken to the Green County Humane Society.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Jason K. Coy, 30, Monroe, was arrested on a felony charge of possessing THC (marijuana) and a misdemeanor charge of possessing drug paraphernalia after deputies stopped a vehicle in the W8900 block of Wis. 81, Town of Jordan, at 6:11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10. Coy was also cited for speeding, driving with a suspended license and not having vehicle insurance. He was jailed pending court.

●  Thor A. Crapp, 30, Monticello, was taken into custody on a warrant at 2:09 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11. He was jailed pending court.

On Saturday, Jan. 12:

●  Jourdan A. Roquette, 20, Waterloo, was cited for speeding and failure to carry a driver’s license at 8:50 p.m. in the W1000 block of Wis. 11, Town of Spring Grove. A passenger, Xavier S. Harriel, 22, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was cited for possession of 25 grams or less of THC. The sheriff’s office K-9 Unit assisted at the scene.

●  Russell E. Meier, 63, Cross Plains, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol at 9:58 p.m. in the W9200 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. He was also cited for speeding and operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Sunday, Dec. 30:

●  Tiffany A. Chandler, 23, Belmont, was arrested on charges of child neglect and possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to a request for a welfare check at 1:43 p.m. on North Penn Street in Belmont. She was jailed. Belmont EMS assisted.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 4:32 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello.

●  Travis C. Henricks, 36, Monroe, was cited for littering and Lisa A. Dole, 35, Shullsburg, was cited for operating without motor vehicle insurance after deputies responded to a report of an intoxicated subject at 8:14 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 8:43 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

●  A deputy assisted the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office at 10:38 p.m. on Ferndale Road, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Deputies assisted the Dubuque County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office at 11:41 p.m. on 2nd Avenue in Benton.

On Monday, Dec. 31:

●  A deputy assisted a motorist at 3:03 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 11:07 a.m. on South Lafayette Street in Argyle.

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 3:57 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 4 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

●  A traffic hazard of a vehicle stuck in the roadway was reported at 5:09 p.m. on County Z, Town of Darlington.

On Tuesday, Jan. 1:

●  A deputy assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office at 3:57 a.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.

●  Jose L. Hernandez-Hernandez, 24, Darlington, was cited for operating left of the centerline after a deputy responded to a traffic complaint at 4:59 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  An animal problem was reported at 9:35 a.m. on Roller Coaster Road, Town of Darlington.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 10:01 a.m. on Silverthorn Road, Town of Shullsburg.

●  An injured animal was reported at 1:37 p.m. on County W, Town of New Diggings.

On Wednesday, Jan. 2:

●  An erratic driver was reported at 3:29 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  An animal injured on the roadway was reported at 6:27 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  A deputy responded to assist with traffic control at 9 a.m. on Carr Factory Road, Town of Benton.

●  Theft was reported at 4:39 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. As a result, Wayne A. Mork, 43, Darlington, was arrested for a probation and parole violation and jailed, and William P. Moore, 29, Darlington, was arrested on an Iowa County warrant and jailed.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 4:42 p.m. on East High Street in Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 9:47 p.m. on South Iowa Street in Shullsburg.

On Thursday, Jan. 3:

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 8:24 a.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle.

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 9:40 a.m. on Whiteside Road, Town of Wiota. The vehicle was towed.

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 12:19 p.m. on East Truth Street in Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded at 2:53 p.m. to Wis. 81 in Darlington to assist the Darlington Police Department with a welfare check.

●  A hit-and-run was reported at 5:30 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy responded at 6:58 p.m. to Main Street in Darlington to assist the Darlington Police Department with a welfare check.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 7:33 p.m. on Leahy Road, Town of Shullsburg. The Darlington Police Department assisted on scene.

●  A juvenile problem was reported at 8:37 p.m. on Noble Street in Gratiot.

●  A juvenile problem was reported at 8:47 p.m. on South Iowa Street in Shullsburg.
