Brodhead Police

On Dec. 15: 

●  A possible hit-and-run involving a business vehicle was reported at 5:56 p.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue. Officers were unable to locate any damaged vehicles. 

●  Police responded for an audible commercial burglar alarm at 8:50 p.m. in the 2300 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police cleared building. Police did not find any evidence of a break-in. Contact with a keyholder was made. 

On Dec. 16: 

●  A hazard involving a stop sign down due to wind was reported at 2:03 a.m. in the 400 block of 8th Street. Police notified Brodhead Street Department. 

●  A hazard involving glass on the roadway was reported at 10:55 a.m. in the 400 block of East 2nd Avenue. Police were unable to locate any glass. 

●  A Brodhead man, 17, was cited for passing in a no-passing zone at 8:50 p.m. in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

On Dec. 17: 

●  A Leaf River, Illinois man, 24, was cited for speeding at 5:11 a.m. in the 800 block of East 9th Avenue. 

●  A Chicago, Illinois man, 56, was arrested on charges of misdemeanor concealed carry weapon, possession of THC and no proof of vehicle insurance at 7:07 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street. 

●  A civil dispute was reported at 7:59 p.m. in the 400 block of East 5th Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

●  A Rockford, Illinois man, 28, was arrested on a charge of possession of THC and drug paraphernalia at 909 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

●  A dog at large was reported at 9:28 a.m. Dec. 18 in the 600 block of East Exchange Street. Police were unable to catch the dog. 

On Dec. 19: 

•  Vandalism involving an egged house was reported at 8:42 a.m. in the 100 block of Cedar Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

•  Vandalism and theft were reported at 5 p.m. in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

•  Worthless checks was reported at 9:21 a.m. Dec. 20 at a business in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

Monticello Police 

MONTICELLO – Police responded at 3:05 p.m. Dec. 19 to the village. Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS assisted. 

On Dec. 20: 

•  An erratic driver was reported at 9:10 a.m. on Wis. 69. Police were unable to locate the vehicle. 

•  Police located a large amount of debris on the roadway at 10:30 p.m. on East Wisconsin Avenue and Adams Road. The debris was removed. 

On Dec. 21: 

•  Police responded for a citizen assist at 5:38 p.m. It was found to be a civil issue. 

•  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 6:56 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. Everything was found to be okay. 

•  Suspicious activity was reported at 1:09 a.m. Dec. 22 in the 800 block of East Lake Avenue. Everything was found to be okay. 

•  A vehicle vs. deer crash was reported at 5:32 p.m. Dec. 23. The caller was advised to call 911. 


Monticello Police 

MONTICELLO – A suspicious person was reported at 6:41 p.m. Dec. 11 in the 200 block of West Coates Avenue. The person was identified. Everything was found to be okay. 

On Dec. 12: 

● Police responded to check welfare at 12:35 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. Everything was found to be okay. 

● Police issued two citations for vehicles in violation of the no parking between 2:30 and 6 a.m. at 2:49 a.m. in the downtown area. 

On Dec. 13: 

● Police assisted Green County Sheriff’s Department with a two-vehicle crash at 8:06 a.m. 

● Police assisted Dubuque Police Department with an investigation at 10:34 a.m. 

● Illegal dumping was reported at 12:02 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. 

● A suspicious vehicle was reported at 6:29 p.m. in the 500 block of East Wisconsin Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

On Dec. 14: 

● Police assisted Evansville Police Department with an investigation at 2:43 p.m. 

● Police cited a vehicle in violation of the 24-hour parking ordinance at 10:49 p.m. in Municipal Lot #2. 

On Dec. 15: 

● A tobacco violation involving a juvenile was reported at 7:59 a.m. This remains under investigation. 

● Police responded to check welfare at 1:13 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. 

● Vandalism was reported at 3:30 p.m. in the 100 block of North Monroe Street. This remains under investigation. 

● Police removed a traffic hazard at 11:28 p.m. in the 200 block of North Monroe Street. 

On Dec. 16: 

● Police removed a traffic hazard at 1:40 a.m. in the 300 block of East Lake Avenue. 

● Police removed tree branches laying on the roadway at 2:02 a.m. in the 600 block of Greenview Avenue. 

● Police removed a traffic hazard at 2:14 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. 

On Dec. 17: 

● Police assisted Monticello Fire Department with a garbage truck when its load caught on fire at 9:47 a.m. in the 500 block of West Coates Avenue. 

● A dog running at large was reported at 2:28 p.m. in the 200 block of West North Avenue. The dog returned. 

● A parking complaint was reported at 10:29 p.m. in the 300 block of South Garfield Street. 

 Monroe Police 

MONROE – William J. Schneider, 66, Monroe, was arrested on a warrant for two counts of delivery of a narcotic substance at 4:10 p.m. Dec. 16 at a residence in the 200 block of 4th Avenue. He was jailed. 

Green County Sheriff 

MONROE – On Dec. 17: 

● Elena C. Deieon, 26, Beloit, was cited for driving without a valid license, her third offense within three years, at 4:45 a.m. in the W4600 block of Wis. 11, Town of Jefferson. 

● Michael J. Billups, 37, Beloit, was cited for speeding and driving without an ignition interlock device at 11:11 a.m. in the W5200 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe.  

● Jose A. Garcia-Garcia, 36, Fitchburg, was arrested on three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping and on a warrant through Dane County for failure to appear at 9:28 p.m. in the N7300 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. He was also cited for failure to install ignition interlock device, driving with prohibited alcohol concentration, his third offense, and driving while revoked. He was jailed. 

● Ashlyn R. Sheafor, 21, Monroe, was cited for driving after revocation at 4:38 p.m. Dec. 18 in the N5400 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington. She was also warned for speeding and no proof of vehicle insurance. 

● Nicholas A. Puckett, 22, Monticello, was cited for driving without a valid license, his second offense within three years, at 7:03 a.m. Dec. 19 in the N2700 block of County M, Town of Jordan as a result of sleeping in his vehicle on the side of the road. 

 Lafayette County Sheriff 

DARLINGTON – On Dec. 16: 

● Deputies responded for reported trees down, debris on the roadways and utility problems at 12:30 a.m. throughout the county due to weather conditions. 

● Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:40 a.m. on County F, Town of Blanchard. 

● A deputy responded to keep the peace at 12:21 p.m. on East South Street in South Wayne. 

● Criminal damage to property was reported at 2:58 p.m. on King Road, Town of Willow Springs. 

● A deputy assisted the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources at 5:27 p.m. on County F, Town of Darlington. 

On Dec. 17: 

● Aaron J. Polensky, 42, Gays Mills, was cited for speeding at 6:45 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour. 

● Criminal damage was reported at 8:06 a.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne. 

● A 911 misdial was reported at 8:21 a.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont. 

● A deputy responded to check welfare at 12:18 p.m. on Buncombe Road, Town of Benton. 

● A traffic complaint was reported at 4:42 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. Darlington police and Lafayette County EMS assisted. 

● Kenneth M. Garramone, 52, Mchenry, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 6:45 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs. 

● Patrick R. Delehanty, 35, Chicago, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 7:40 p.m. on County O, Town of White Oak Springs. 

● Darwin D. Williams, 63, Monroe, was cited for driving after suspension at 8:09 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle. 

● A deputy responded for a vehicle unlock at 8:28 p.m. on Larson Road, Town of Wiota. 

● Jayden P. Gray, 20, Warren, was cited for speeding at 8:30 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs. 

On Dec. 18: 

● Deputies responded to check welfare at 1:36 a.m. on County H, Town of Benton. Benton First and Cuba City EMS assisted. 

● Scott E. Hawes, 31, Harvard, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 10:16 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. 

● A 911 misdial was reported at 11:40 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Blanchard. 

● An animal problem was reported at 11:51 a.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont. 

● A civil dispute was reported at 12:31 p.m. on Main Street in Blanchardville and at 1:12 p.m. on Jeopardy Lane in Shullsburg. 

● A traffic hazard was reported at 4:06 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. 

● Diane L. Garrison, 52, Argyle, was arrested on a probation warrant at 4:17 p.m. She was jailed. 

● A deputy responded to check welfare at 5:54 p.m. on South Warren Street in South Wayne. 

● Salvador A. Ayala-Mendoza, 23, Darlington, was cited for driving after revocation at 8:24 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. 

● A deputy responded for a vehicle in the ditch at 9:37 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont. 

On Dec. 19: 

● Celso Ortiz-Campos, 39, Darlington, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 7:08 a.m. He was also cited for driving left of center and no vehicle insurance. He was released to a responsible party. 

● Harassment was reported at 9:15 a.m. on East Milwaukee Street in Argyle and at 11:38 a.m. on West Union Street in Shullsburg. 

● A deputy assisted Green County at 11:50 a.m. on Main Street in Gratiot. 

● Matthew A. Rodriguez, 42, Janesville, was cited for speeding at 4:06 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. 

● A deputy responded for a citizen assist at 5:30 p.m. on County H, Town of Benton. 

● A deputy responded to check welfare at 5:37 p.m. on County F, Town of Darlington. 

● A threat complaint was reported at 8:59 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.
