Monroe Police

MONROE — Hector Manuel Guerra, 48, Monroe, was arrested for felony bail jumping at 1:18 a.m. Jan. 23 in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue following a court violation. He was jailed. 

●  A disturbance was reported at 12:03 a.m. Jan. 24 in the Cenex parking lot. Chelsea Bowen, 47, Janesville, was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery under Wisconsin’s Domestic Abuse Laws. She was jailed on a cash bond. 

●  Christopher P. Graves, 47, Monroe, was arrested at 4:19 p.m. Jan. 27 at a residence in the 600 block of 17th Avenue on a warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department for failure to appear in court for a prior domestic abuse case. He was jailed.

On Jan. 31: 

●  Christopher L. Brinkmeier, 28, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 2:36 a.m. on 21st Street and 10th Avenue following a report of a possible accident. He was released to a responsible party. 

●  Dillon M. Varner, 29, South Wayne, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 2:53 a.m. in the 600 block of West 8th Street following a report of a vehicle doing donuts in the parking lot of a closed business. He was released to a responsible party.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Eugene R. Scheidegger, 59, Brodhead, was arrested for felony bail jumping at 12:52 p.m. Jan. 21 at a residence in the W700 block of Ten Eyck Road, Town of Decatur. He was jailed.

●  Christopher W. Roth, 17, Dubuque, Iowa, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating under the influence of drugs at 2:32 a.m. Jan. 30 in the W5200 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. He was also cited for speeding. He was released pending court. A passenger, Dominick J. Lindley, 19, Dubuque, was cited for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. 

●  Deputies located a vehicle in the ditch at 1:32 a.m. Jan. 31 in the N7900 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. Kelvin Johnson, 25, New Glarus, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating under the influence of alcohol. He was also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration and failure to keep vehicle under control. He was released pending court. 


Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — On Jan. 9: 

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 5:51 p.m. in the 300 block of South Monroe Street. 

●  Police assisted another law enforcement agency at 8:08 p.m. in the 200 block of South Monroe Street. They were advised of appropriate agency to contact. 

●  A trespassing complaint was reported at 6:21 p.m. Jan. 10 in the 500 block of Main Street. Remains under investigation. 

On Jan. 11: 

●  Police responded to a medical assist report at 8:25 a.m. within the village. Monroe EMS and Monticello Fire First Response assisted. 

●  A parking complaint was reported at 11:35 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. A vehicle was tagged for 24-hour removal. 

●  Suspicious activity relating to several child custody complaints was reported at 11:56 a.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street. 

●  Police conducted traffic control for Monticello Fire First Response at 2:59 p.m. in the township. 

●  Police received an informational complaint in regards to a civil child custody dispute at 7:09 p.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street. 

On Jan. 12: 

●  A burning complaint was reported at 8:20 a.m. in the 500 block of East Park Avenue. 

●  A custody dispute complaint was reported at 4:30 p.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street. They were informed it was a civil matter and to go to family court. 

On Jan. 13: 

●  A custody dispute complaint was reported at 9:43 a.m. and at 10:05 a.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street. They were informed it was a civil matter and to go to family court. 

●  Harassment involving threatening messages was reported at 9:58 a.m. Violation occurred outside village and was referred to appropriate law enforcement agency. 

●  A juvenile welfare check complaint was reported at 4:04 p.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street. The juvenile was in another county. Referred to appropriate law enforcement agency. 

●  Police conducted traffic control for Monticello Fire First Response at 8:14 p.m. in the township. 

On Jan. 14: 

●  An exploded electrical transformer was reported at 9:03 a.m. Alliant Energy was contacted to resolve matter. 

●  A dog at large was reported at 2:57 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. The dog and owner were both located. 

On Jan. 15: 

●  A parking complaint was reported at 7:17 a.m. in the 200 block of West Wisconsin Avenue. A parking citation was issued. 

●  A parking complaint was reported at 1:08 p.m. in the 500 block of Montesian Court. A parking citation was issued. 

●  A child custody complaint was reported at 3:06 p.m. and at 3:46 p.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street. They were informed it was a civil matter and to go to family court. 

●  A juvenile check welfare complaint was reported at 3:07 p.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street. Everything was fine. 

●  Police responded for a medical call at 5:06 p.m. within the village. 

●  Police responded for a medical call at 7:32 p.m. within the village. Monroe EMS and Monticello Fire First Response assisted.

● Disorderly conduct was reported at 11:55 p.m. Jan. 15 in the 300 block of South Garfield Street. Investigation is ongoing. 

On Jan. 16: 

●  A 911 call was reported at 2 a.m. in regards to a civil child custody dispute. Caller was advised to contact an attorney and informed on proper use of 911. 

●  Police assisted with a vehicle unlock at 3:07 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. 

●  A civil child custody dispute was reported at 4:59 p.m. The caller was advised to contact an attorney. 

●  Police responded to check welfare at 7:42 p.m. in the village. 

On Jan. 17: 

●  Police assisted Green County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle in the ditch at 9:36 a.m. in the N6900 block of Wis. 69. 

●  Police assisted Monroe EMS and Monticello Fire First Response at 3:49 p.m. in the village. 

●  A parking complaint was reported at 6:42 p.m. in the 300 block of South Garfield Street. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 11:42 p.m. in the 500 block of South Min Street. Matter was investigated and no further action was needed. 

On Jan. 18: 

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 7:35 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. 

●  A possible sexual assault was reported at 8:15 a.m. in the village. Investigation is ongoing. 

●  A civil child custody dispute was reported at 9:34 a.m. Caller advised to contact attorney. 

●  Police responded at 9:43 a.m. for a medical call in the village. Monroe EMS and Monticello Fire First Response also responded. 

●  A possible sexual assault was reported at 10:28 a.m. in the village. Investigation is ongoing. 

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 12:20 p.m. in the 100 block of East Coates Avenue. Everything was okay. 

On Jan. 19: 

●  Police responded for a citizen assist at 8:14 a.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street. Citizen was given options about who to contact. 

●  Police issued 17 winter parking violation citations at 10 p.m.
