Albany Police

ALBANY — Steven A. Granger, 21, Albany, was cited Feb. 11 for driving with a suspended license.

●  Elizabeth A. Broshous, 24, Albany, was cited Feb. 14 for unreasonable and imprudent speed.

●  James R. Schmitz, 49, Albany, was cited Feb. 15 for driving with a suspended license.

●  Laura G. Gonzalez, 21, Janesville, was cited Feb. 15 for driving with a suspended license.


Brodhead Police 

BRODHEAD — For the week of Feb. 16 to 22, police performed 19 security checks, 43 citizen assists, seven assists of other agencies, 17 follow-ups to incidents and 18 vehicle registrations; responded to 22 calls for service, nine EMS calls and five 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made three traffic stops. No fire calls and no mental health or detox transports were reported.

On Sunday, Feb. 16:

●  A theft of prescription medications was reported at 2:08 p.m. in the 2000 block of West 4th Avenue.

On Monday, Feb. 17:

●  A Brodhead woman, 41, was cited for a violation of the city’s Junk Vehicle Ordinance at 10:43 a.m. in the 900 block of East 3rd Avenue.

●  A South Milwaukee man, 61, was cited for speeding and improper display of a license plate at 11:11 a.m. in the 300 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Wednesday, Feb. 19:

●  A traffic crash was reported at 12:10 a.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. No citations were issued due to the incident occurring on private property.

On Thursday, Feb. 20:

●  A Beloit man, 46, was cited for no vehicle insurance at 5:15 a.m. in the 100 block of 23rd Street.

●  A Brodhead woman, 38, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 5:55 p.m. in the 1200 block of East 6th Avenue.

On Friday, Feb. 21:

●  A theft of an undisclosed amount of cash from a bank account was reported at 4:15 p.m. in the 1800 block of West 3rd Avenue.

On Saturday, Feb. 22:

●  A Brodhead man, 30, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 11:30 a.m. in the 200 block of East 3rd Avenue, following a traffic crash. A Brodhead man, 24, was also cited for failure to fasten safety chain.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — Laura L. Gundlach, 51, Shullsburg, was arrested on a City of Darlington warrant at 4:34 p.m. Feb. 12, following contact at the Darlington Inn. She posted bond and was released.

●  Samantha Stanton, 25, Darlington, was cited for issuing a worthless check Feb. 13, following a complaint of a business on Wis. 23.

●  Joseph F. Heiser, 81, Darlington, was cited for failure to stop for a school bus at 1:54 p.m. Feb. 14, following a traffic stop on Galena Street.

●  Daniel F. Burbach, 72, Darlington, was arrested on a third-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at about 8:15 p.m. Feb. 15, following a complaint of a vehicle traveling all over the road on Wis. 23.

●  Citations for failure to remove snow from public sidewalks were issued to the following property owners Feb. 15 and 16: Jeff M. Stauffacher, 46, Mineral Point; Michael H. Stietz, 62, Darlington; Matthew W. Fenn, 35, Darlington; Katie J. Ellefson, 39, Darlington; Thomas B. Kleiber, 35, Shullsburg; and Trevor A. Huntoon, 25, Loves Park, Illinois.

●  Marlon J. Cardona-Salgado, 25, Darlington, was referred to the Lafayette County District Attorney’s Office for driving with a revoked license following a traffic stop on Sunset Terrace at 2:25 a.m. Feb. 16.

●  Marcus P. Gilberts, 28, Darlington, was arrested on a City of Darlington warrant at about 12:15 a.m. Feb. 17, following contact on Washington Street. He posted bond and was released.

●  Julie M. Lofftin, 44, Darlington, was arrested on a City of Darlington warrant at 6:38 p.m. Feb. 17, following contact at her residence on East Lucy Street. She was jailed.

●  Lee Fitzsimons, 33, Darlington, was arrested on a Lafayette County warrant at 9 a.m. Feb. 18, following police contact at a residence on Madison Street. He was transported to the jail.
