Monroe Police

MONROE — Officers were called to check on the welfare at a person at a business in the 400 block of 4th Avenue at 12:21 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19. As a result, Austin D. Flood, 23, Monroe, was arrested on charges of misdemeanor bail jumping for violating his court-ordered bail conditions prohibiting possession of inhalants. He was jailed. He was subsequently also charged the following day in Green County Circuit Court with one misdemeanor count of possessing a hazardous substance with the intent to abuse that substance. 

Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Feb. 10-16, police performed 30 security checks, 43 citizen assists, 10 assists of other agencies, nine vehicle registrations and seven follow-ups to incidents; responded to 16 calls for service, 13 EMS calls, one fire call and eight 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made six traffic stops. There were no detox or mental health transports.

On Sunday, Feb. 10:

●  A vehicle parked facing traffic was reported at 6:59 a.m. in the 1300 block of 13th Street. The owner was warned for the parking violation.

●  A vehicle parked facing traffic was reported at 7:20 a.m. in the 400 block of 12th Street. The owner was warned for the parking violation.

●  A vehicle parked facing traffic was reported at 7:27 a.m. in the 200 block of 13th Street. The owner was warned for the parking violation.

●  A truck operating off the heavy truck route was reported at 4:28 p.m. in the 700 block of 21st Street. A warning was issued for the code violation.

On Monday, Feb. 11:

●  A scam phone call was reported at 2:41 p.m. in the E500 block of 23rd Street.

●  A scam phone call was reported at 2:43 p.m. in the 700 block of East 6th Avenue.

On Tuesday, Feb. 12:

●  An Orfordville woman, 17, was cited for driving too fast for conditions at 4:42 p.m. following a traffic crash in the 2500 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  Seven citations were issued for violations of the winter parking ordinance.

On Wednesday, Feb. 13:

●  A Brodhead man, 22, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff’s Office at 6:08 p.m. in the 1100 block of West 2nd Avenue.

On Thursday, Feb. 14:

●  A Brodhead woman, 42, was cited for non-registration of an auto at 8:07 p.m. in the 900 block of 17th Street.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — Tasha L. Gallagher, 52, Darlington, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 12:52 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, on County F.

●  Jamie R. Bartell, 28, Darlington, was cited for loud and unnecessary noise at 1:52 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, following a complaint on Main Street.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Monday, Feb. 18:

●  Chad M. Schmitt, 24, Sherrill, Iowa, was arrested on a warrant and transported at 7:33 a.m. from the Jo Daviess County Jail to the Lafayette County Jail.

●  A traffic complaint of a vehicle passing in a no-passing zone was reported at 9:07 a.m. on East Center Street in South Wayne.

●  Harassment was reported at 10:11 a.m. on County H in Cuba City.

●  A deputy responded to assist a citizen at 10:21 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A deputy responded to assist the Darlington Police Department with a welfare check at 11:17 a.m. on East Louisa Street in Darlington.

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 12:04 p.m. on Wis. 78 in Blanchardville.

●  Deputies responded to assist the Belmont Police Department with a domestic dispute at 12:23 p.m. on West Wisconsin Avenue in Belmont.

●  Dustin J. Molzof, 27, Montfort, was arrested on a warrant and transported at 1:34 p.m. from the Iowa County Jail to the Lafayette County Jail. He was later released.

●  Lori M. Girgenti, 57, Rockford, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 4:24 p.m. on County P, Town of Gratiot.

●  Terrance J. Mutert, 52, Belmont, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 6:58 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 7:06 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 7:53 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.

On Tuesday, Feb. 19:

●  Anthony P. Halvorson, 28, Darlington, was cited for possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia at 1:36 a.m. on County W, Town of Monticello.

●  Brian E. Johnson, 32, Argyle, was arrested for a probation and parole violation at 1:58 p.m. on Poplar Street in Argyle. He was transported by Argyle police to the jail.

●  Theft was reported at 3:22 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 5:44 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  Deputies responded for a welfare check at 6:36 p.m. on County G, Town of Kendall.

●  An animal injured in the road was reported at 9:13 p.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.

●  Deputies responded at 9:38 p.m. to North Happy Street in Shullsburg to assist Shullsburg police with a vehicle in the ditch.

●  A juvenile problem was reported at 10:16 p.m. on Van Buren Street in Benton.

On Wednesday, Feb. 20:

●  Harassment was reported at 12:23 a.m. on Hazel Street in Belmont.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 4:37 a.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 8:06 a.m. on Back Road, Town of Benton.
