Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Dec. 2-8, police performed 20 security checks, 46 citizen assists, three assists of other agencies, 10 vehicle registrations and 11 follow-ups to incidents; responded to 13 calls for service, nine EMS calls, three fire calls and six 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made four traffic stops. There were no mental health or detox transports.

On Sunday, Dec. 2:

●  A dog at large was reported at 12:07 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner was located and claimed the dog.

●  A person causing a disturbance at a business in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue was reported at 7:53 p.m. The person was warned.

●  A Brodhead woman, 50, was cited for parking left-of-center facing oncoming traffic at 10:02 p.m. in the 600 block of 9th Street.

On Tuesday, Dec. 4:

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 2:52 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

On Thursday, Dec. 6:

●  Theft was reported at 8:19 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

On Friday, Dec. 7:

●  A Brodhead man, 19, was arrested on charges of marijuana possession, having open intoxicants in a vehicle and driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance at 2:23 a.m. in the 2000 block of 1st Center Avenue

●  A Brodhead woman, 34, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated at 6:49 a.m. following a traffic crash in the 100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  Harassment involving electronic messages was reported at 8:34 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Exchange Street.

●  A possible temporary restraining order violation was reported at 10:20 p.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street.

On Saturday, Dec. 8:

●  Property in suspicious condition was reported at 3:11 p.m. in the N3800 block of Park Road. The property was taken care of.

●  An intoxicated person was reported at 6:38 p.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street. Police turned the person over to a responsible party.

●  Police responded at 6:03 p.m. to check the welfare of a person in a vehicle in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The person was ill and was returned home.

●  Police responded at 10:14 p.m. to check the welfare of a person in a vehicle in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The person was just tired and later departed.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — John M. Tollackson, 52, Argyle, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance on West River Street at 7:56 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 27.

●  Guillermo Grajales-Mora, 33, Darlington, was cited for driving without a license (second offense) and driving without vehicle insurance following a crash on County K at 4:17 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3.

●  Kaleb T. Klar, 25, Benton, was arrested on charges of possessing a concealed semi-automatic handgun and driving with a revoked license following a traffic stop on Galena Street at 10:07 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. He was also cited for speeding. He was booked at the jail and later released pending court.

●  Brandon Fernandes, 36, Darlington, was cited for disorderly conduct on Thursday, Dec. 6, as the result of an investigation into a disturbance at an apartment on Main Street on Nov. 16.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Beatriz Palomino, 42, Brodhead, was cited for driving without a valid license (second offense within three years) and warned for speeding after deputies stopped her in the W1100 block of Wis. 11, Town of Spring Grove, at 3:49 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7.

On Saturday, Dec. 8:

●  Taylor J. Disch, 23, New Glarus, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol after deputies investigated suspicious activity at 12:32 a.m. in the W200 block of Amidon Road and then conducted a traffic stop in the W700 block of Amidon Road, Town of Brooklyn. Disch was also cited for operating left of the centerline and having open intoxicants in a vehicle. He was later released to a responsible party. A passenger in the vehicle, Malik T. Caldwell, 22, New Glarus, was cited for having open intoxicants in a vehicle.

●  Matthew M. Boley, 41, Belleville, was arrested and jailed on a charge of criminal trespass to a dwelling after deputies responded at 2:15 a.m. to a report of a male who was sitting in an enclosed porch and appeared intoxicated in the 200 block of East Coates Avenue in Monticello.

●  Ronal A. Cruz Zambrano, 31, New Glarus, was cited for driving without a valid license and failure to install an ignition interlock device after deputies stopped him at 3:30 a.m. for failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of County C and County N, Town of Washington.

 

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Thursday, Dec. 6:

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 12:23 a.m. on South McKnight Street in South Wayne.

●  Harold P. Westcott, 43, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for driving with a suspended license, a defective muffler and having a tire tread less than 2/23 of an inch at 1:15 a.m. on County W, Town of New Diggings.

●  Jeremiah J. Hocking, 27, Shullsburg, was transported on a probation and parole warrant at 10:06 a.m. from the Dubuque County Jail in Iowa to the Lafayette County Jail, where he remains in custody.

●  The Darlington Police and Fire Departments responded at 12:47 p.m. to U.S. 151 in Iowa County to assist with a vehicle accident.

●  Holly M. Zuehlke, 43, Beloit, was cited for speeding at 6:55 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  A deputy responded to assist in unlocking a vehicle at 8:37 p.m. on West Mound View Avenue in Belmont.

●  Jacob F. Wunderlin, 17, Cuba City, was cited for speeding at 11:41 p.m. on Twin Bridge Road, Town of Benton.

On Friday, Dec. 7:

●  Deputies responded for a welfare check at 9:03 a.m. on Clay Street in Darlington.

●  A deputy assisted the Platteville Police Department with assisting a citizen at 1:21 p.m. in Platteville.

●  Deputies responded at 1:43 p.m. for a welfare check on Otter Creek Road, Town of Lamont.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 3:50 p.m. on West Heller Court in Shullsburg. Shullsburg EMS assisted on scene.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 4:14 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  Trespassing was reported at 4:26 p.m. on County F, Town of Seymour.

●  Julio Figueroa, 39, Darlington, was cited for operating while intoxicated (first offense) and driving without a valid license (first offense) after a deputy responded for a welfare check at 11:04 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  Destin J. Komprood, 24, Darlington, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance and a tire tread depth violation at 11:50 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

On Saturday, Dec. 8:

●  Lukas D. Hagen, 25, Browntown, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, inattentive driving and failure to maintain control at 2:14 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 2:23 a.m. on Woodberry Road, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Brittany R. Walters, 25, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 11:04 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings. Maizie H. Sebasta, 22, also of Dubuque, was cited for possession of marijuana.

●  Theft was reported at 2:41 p.m. on Maple Street in Blanchardville.

●  Ritha C. Shields, 59, Chicago, was cited for speeding at 3:08 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 4:11 p.m. on North State Street in Argyle.

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 6:11 p.m. on Bethel Grove Road, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 8:01 p.m. on South Verley Street in South Wayne.

●  Joseph A. Johnson, 52, Freeport, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 12:07 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.

●  Almonzo W. Moore-Oesterreich, 23, Freeport, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 12:38 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.

●  Juan G. Martinez Icimura, 36, Platteville, was cited for driving without a valid license at 1:44 a.m. on Galena Street in Darlington.

●  Eion M. Cue, 17, Hazel Green, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance and failure to stop at a stop sign at 6:29 a.m. on Crabtree Corner Road, Town of Benton.

●  Trespassing was reported at 8:52 a.m. on Sand Road, Town of Wiota.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 10:52 a.m. on Dawn Vista Drive in Belmont.

●  An animal bite was reported at 4:10 p.m. on Aetna Road, Town of New Diggings.

●  Abigail M. Argall, 18, South Wayne, was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 5:36 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  Melissa VN Fairbrother, 20, Beloit, was cited for speeding at 7:31 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  Kory J. Denman, 40, Darlington, was arrested and jailed on a charge of bail jumping after deputies responded to a report of disorderly conduct at 8:37 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.
