Albany Police

ALBANY — On Friday, Aug. 9:

●  Carl H. Semrow, 20, Brodhead, was cited for speeding.

●  Bryan A. Wang, 22, Monroe, was arrested on charges of operating while under the influence of an intoxicant (first offense), possession of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, failure to obey traffic sign and operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration.

On Saturday, Aug. 10:

●  Zachary R. Lancaster, 29, Clinton, was cited for urinating in public.

●  Andrew J. Shepherd, 32, Stoughton, was arrested on charges of operating while under the influence of an intoxicant (first offense), driving without a valid license or vehicle insurance and non-registration of an auto.

On Sunday, Aug. 11:

●  Kevin J. Shea, 33, Brodhead, was cited for non-registration of an auto.


Brodhead Police 

BRODHEAD — For the week of Aug. 3-10, police performed 61 security checks, 42 citizen assists, 10 assists of other agencies, 13 vehicle registrations and 11 follow-ups to incidents; responded to 43 calls for service, nine EMS calls, one fire call and 12 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made 12 traffic stops. No detox or mental health transports were reported.

On Sunday, Aug. 4:

●  A hit-and-run crash was reported at 5:47 p.m. in the 2300 block of 1st Center Avenue. A vehicle rear-ended a vehicle stopped at a stop sign, then left the scene. The incident remained under investigation.

On Monday, Aug. 5:

●  A crash was reported at 4:07 p.m. in a parking lot in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. A vehicle was struck. The incident remained under investigation.

On Wednesday, Aug. 7:

●  Code violations of debris scattered around a property were reported between 1:32 and 1:43 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 3rd Avenue, 500 block of 1st Center Avenue, 900 block of 1st Center Avenue, 1000 block of 12th Street, 1200 block of 12th Street, 700 block of 5th Street and 600 block of 12th Street.

●  Traffic hazards of trees and scrubs blocking an intersection were reported between 1:45 and 1:52 p.m. in the 1400 block of East 9th Avenue, 1400 block of West 2nd Avenue, 1200 block of West 3rd Avenue and 1300 block of West 2nd Avenue.

On Thursday, Aug. 8:

●  A Fitchburg woman, 37, was cited for speeding at 9:49 a.m. in the 200 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A crash involving one vehicle backing into another vehicle in a parking lot was reported at 11:37 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. As it occurred on private property, no citations were issued.

●  A dog at large was reported at 10:26 p.m. in the 1900 block of West 2nd Avenue. The owner was warned.

On Friday, Aug. 9:

●  A parking complaint was reported at 2:24 p.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. The subject had questions regarding a No Parking order.

●  An erratic driver was reported at 5:07 p.m. in the 1400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police checked the area but did not locate the vehicle.

●  A Brodhead man, 29, was cited for non-registration of an auto at 9:53 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

●  An alcohol offense was reported at 10:27 p.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue. A person had open intoxicants outside a designated area. Police issued a warning.

●  A Brodhead man, 26, was cited for driving with a revoked license at 10:31 p.m. in the 800 block of East Exchange Street.

●  An alcohol offense was reported at 10:40 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. A person had open intoxicants outside a designated area. Police issued a warning.

On Saturday, Aug. 10:

●  A Brodhead man, 32, was arrested on domestic abuse-related charges of battery and disorderly conduct at 12:45 a.m. in the 700 block of East 4th Avenue.

●  A Monroe man, 27, was cited for parking within 10 feet of a fire hydrant at 10:58 a.m. in the 900 block of 12th Street.

●  A person causing a disturbance was reported at 6:43 p.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. Police issued a warning, and the person was removed from the property.

●  A person was warned for having open intoxicants after the offense was reported at 9:47 p.m. in the 1100 block of 11th Street.

●  A person was warned for having open intoxicants outside of a designated area after the offense was reported at 10:26 p.m. in the 1000 block of East 3rd Avenue.

●  Two people were warned for having open intoxicants outside of a designated area after the offenses were reported at 10:31 p.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street, South Alley.

●  A person was warned for having open intoxicants outside of a designated area after the offense was reported at 11:52 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — Carrie A. Schaar, 37, Shullsburg, was cited for inattentive driving at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, following a traffic stop on Galena Street.

●  An investigation into a fight at a tavern Saturday, Aug. 3, led to the citation of three people Thursday, Aug. 8. Alexander E. Wheeler, 21, Gratiot, was cited for disorderly conduct. Reghan M. Komprood, 19, and Taryn J. Rankin, 20, both of Darlington, were cited for being in a tavern underage.

On Friday, Aug. 9, citations for having junk vehicles on property were issued to:

●  Bobby Parker, 49, Darlington, following a complaint on Ohio Street.

●  Barry King Jr., 54, Darlington, following a complaint on Keep Street.

●  Marlon Cardona-Salgado, 25, Darlington, following a complaint on Sunset Terrace.

●  Trent Nyffenegger, 25, Darlington, following a complaint on Center Hill Road.

●  Mindey Bockorny, 35, Muscoda, following a complaint on Washington Street.

All those cited were previously warned for the ordinance violation.

On Saturday, Aug. 10:

●  Brian Winslow, 44, Dysart, Iowa, was cited for non-registration of an auto at 2:30 a.m. on Main Street.

●  Christopher A. Robbins, 59, Darlington, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 7:30 p.m., following a traffic stop on Louisa Street. He was also cited for inattentive driving.

●  Travis McGuire, 36, Darlington, was arrested on charges of battery and obstructing an officer at 9:43 p.m., following an assault in the 600 block of Galena Street. He was booked at the jail and later released to a responsible party after posting bail.


Monroe Police

MONROE — On Thursday, Aug. 8:

●  Jacob D. Lincicum, 28, Monroe, was arrested on a third-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run at 1:50 a.m. in the 1000 block of 17th Avenue. Police located the offending vehicle a short distance from the accident and identified Lincicum as the driver. Lincicum was also cited for hit-and-run, failure to notify police of an accident and driving without vehicle insurance. He was jailed pending court.

●  Jason K. Coy, 31, Monroe, was arrested at 5:53 p.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear in court on a charge of THC possession. He was jailed pending court.

On Friday, Aug. 9:

●  James W. Rupnow, 72, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of bail jumping at 7:13 p.m. in the 2100 block of 16th Avenue after police learned he had violated his court-ordered bond conditions. He was jailed.

On Saturday, Aug. 10:

●  Jessica L. Bystry, 36, Monroe, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated following a stop for traffic violations at 2:32 a.m. in the 800 block of 18th Avenue. She was booked, then released to a responsible party pending court.

On Sunday, Aug. 11:

●  Danielle J. Zimmerman, 37, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of felony bail jumping at 12:46 a.m. in the 1300 block of 17th Street after police learned she had violated her court-ordered bond conditions. She was jailed pending court.

●  Hector M. Guerra, 46, Monroe, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. in the 500 block of 18th Avenue on a Green County warrant for non-payment of child support and a Rock County warrant for failing to appear in court on a battery charge. He was also charged with obstructing after providing officers with false identifying information, possession of marijuana as a second or subsequent offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed.

On Monday, Aug. 12:

●  Andrew J. Voss, 22, Plainfield, Illinois, was arrested on charges of possessing THC and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at 10:11 p.m. in the 700 block of 8th Avenue. He was booked, then released with a court date.

On Tuesday, Aug. 13:

●  Officers responded to a 911 call at 5:25 a.m. from a resident in the 1300 block of 16th Street alleging that Christopher L. Sibley, 33, Monroe, stole a car from the resident’s girlfriend. Officers determined no theft occurred, but Sibley was seen kicking the car and causing a disturbance outside the residence. Police cited him for disorderly conduct. His Department of Corrections probation agent requested that a probation and parole hold be placed on him as a result of the incident, so Sibley was jailed pending further proceedings.

●  Kaitlin M. Whiteaker, 22, Monroe, was arrested at 3:40 p.m. at a residence in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West on a Monroe Police Department warrant for failure to appear in court on a prior case. She was jailed.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Thursday, Aug. 8:

●  Barry J. Bauman, 44, Monroe, was arrested at 9:51 a.m. at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe after the Wisconsin Department of Corrections placed a probation hold on him. He was jailed.

●  Roxanne A. Nava, 32, Madison, was cited for speeding and driving with a revoked license following a traffic stop at 1:49 p.m. in the N1700 block of Wis. 69, Town of Clarno.

On Friday, Aug. 9:

●  A person slumped over the wheel of a vehicle was reported at 7:17 p.m. in the W500 block of County F, Town of Decatur. Upon arrival of deputies, the vehicle had left the scene. Deputies located the vehicle and driver in the 300 block of East 2nd Avenue in Brodhead. Investigation led to the arrest of the driver, Christopher R. Phillips, 29, Brodhead, on a second-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol. He also had a probation hold placed on him by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was jailed.

On Saturday, Aug. 10:

●  An intoxicated person passed out along the shoreline of the Sugar River south of Albany, Town of Albany, was reported at 6:50 p.m. Deputies along with Albany EMS and the Albany Fire Department responded. The person was identified as Tyler J. Buchanan, 20, Evansville. As first responders made contact with him, he caused a disturbance. He was arrested on charges of discharging bodily fluids at a public safety worker, making threats to law enforcement, resisting an officer and two counts of disorderly conduct. He was also cited for underage drinking. He was jailed pending court.

On Sunday, Aug. 11:

●  Ben A. Martin, 76, Beloit, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol after deputies responded at 6:34 p.m. to the N6700 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington, for a report of an intoxicated driver who had pulled his vehicle over. Martin was released pending court.

On Monday, Aug. 12:

●  Dennis E. Beutel, 48, Monroe, was arrested on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections probation hold at 2:47 p.m. at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe.

On Tuesday, Aug. 13:

●  Bobbi Jo Niedziejko, 38, Darlington, was arrested on a Lafayette County warrant after deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding at 11:01 a.m. in the N7100 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington. She was released after bond was posted. She was warned for speeding.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Tuesday, July 30:

●  A theft was reported at 8:45 p.m. on South Galena Street in South Wayne.

●  A deputy responded to assist Iowa County with a welfare check at 9 p.m. on Line Street in Blanchardville.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 9:22 p.m. on County D, Town of Fayette.
