Motorcycle crash on Wis. 59 leads to Med Flight
accident

BLANCHARDVILLE — A Blanchardville man was taken by Med Flight helicopter to the hospital following a serious motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon.

According to police reports, the crash happened just after 1:05 p.m. in the W8700 block of Wis. 39, in the town of York. Police said they determined that the rider, Chad A. Schneider, 50 of Blanchardville, was traveling eastbound on Wis. 39, when he attempted to pass a vehicle in a no-passing zone.

According to reports, he “was unable to negotiate the curve in the roadway after passing the vehicle and entered the ditch.”  As a result, Schneider was ejected from the motorcycle and reportedly was not wearing a helmet.

He was seriously injured and transported from the scene by Med Flight.

In addition to MedFlight and the Green County Sheriff’s deputies, the emergency response included the Blanchardville Fire Department and EMS.
