On August 29:

● At 11:57 a.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at the intersection of 8th Avenue and 8th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Kim J, Kolb, 33, of Rock City, IL, was stopped southbound on 8th Avenue at 8th Street, entered the intersection to turn on to 8th Street and collided with a vehicle westbound on 8th Street operated by a Monroe woman. Kolb’s vehicle sustained functional damages and the other vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed. Kolb was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and released pending a court appearance.
