On October 21:
● At 5:58 p.m.. officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at the intersection of STH 69 and 8th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Zackery M. Roper, 22, of Monroe, traveling west on 8th Street, was stopped at the red light at the intersection. A second vehicle, operated by Dennis W. Nipple,75, of Monroe, was pulled up behind the Roper vehicle, when Nipple advised that Nipple pushed on the accelerator instead of the brake pedal, accelerating into the rear of the Roper vehicle. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Nipple left the scene but was located later and cited for failure to maintain control of the vehicle as well as hit and run to an attended vehicle. Nipple was released pending a court appearance.
● At 6:32 p.m., officers were called to a report of a disorderly person near the intersection of STH 69 and 6th Street. The investigation led to the arrest of Christopher A. Russell,34, no permanent address, being arrest and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and making threats to law enforcement officers. Russell was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On October 28:
● At 2:55 p.m., officers were called to a disturbance in the 500 block of 22nd Avenue. An investigation led to the arrest of Ian F. Schwartz, 27, of Shullsburg, on a charge of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. Schwartz was booked and released pending a court appearance.
On October 31:
● At 8:33 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 700 block of 12th Avenue for the apprehension of a wanted subject. Jonathan R. Leverton Duerst (31), of Monroe, was arrested on an arrest warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department and an apprehension order from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Leverton Duerst was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
● At 6:17 p.m., officers were called to a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of West 21st Street. Then investigation resulted in the arrest of Shayne A. Hudson,55, of Monroe, on a charge of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Hudson was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On November 3:
● At 11:07 p.m., officers were called to a domestic disturbance in the 1500 block of 21st Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of Charles D. Kempf, 69, of Monroe, on charges of disorderly conduct, battery, strangulation and intimidating a victim, all under Wisconsin’s Dometic Violence laws. Kempf was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
