On May 20:
● At 11:25 a.m., officers were called to a report of a hit and run accident, with no reported injuries, in the 1600 block of 14th Avenue. Using information provided, officers located the offending vehicle and driver a short distance away in a residence garage. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Jose E. Chacon Aju, 18, of Brodhead, was traveling north on 14th Avenue, crossed the centerline and collided with a legally parked unoccupied vehicle. Chacon Aju drove away from the scene and put the vehicle in a nearby garage. Chacon Aju’s vehicle sustained severe damages and the other vehicle sustained moderate damages. Chacon Aju was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense and also cited for operating without a valid driver’s license, operating left of the centerline, hit and run to an unattended vehicle, operating without insurance and operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration. Chacon Aju was booked and released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.
On May 21:
● At 6:31 p.m., officers arrested Trevor R. Frie, 34, of Monroe, at a residence in the 700 block of 12th Avenue, on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff’s Office for a child support case. Frie was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On May 22:
● At 2:24 p.m., officers observed a vehicle committing a traffic offense in the 1000 block of 14th Avenue and when they attempted to stop the vehicle for the offense, the vehicle fled. A short pursuit ensued, and the vehicle was stopped a short time later. The investigation led to the arrest of the driver, Gabriel A. Caballero Talavera (36), of Monroe, on a charge of felony knowingly fleeing an officer. Caballero Talavera was also cited for unreasonable and imprudent speed, operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, displaying unauthorized registration, non-registration of a vehicle, operating without insurance, failing to stop at stop signs, operating left of the centerline and reckless driving. Caballero Talavera was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On May 24:
● At 7:48 p.m., officers arrested Brandon S. Richardson,35, of Monroe, at 2nd Street and STH 69, on a hold issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole for a probation violation following a traffic offense stop. Richardson was also cited for operating a motor vehicle after revocation-OWI related, failure to install an ignition interlock device, non-registration of a motor vehicle, displaying false registration and violating child restraint laws. Richardson was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On May 27:
● At 1:20 a.m., officers responded to the 900 block of 14th Avenue for a complaint of loud music in a vehicle parked at the side of the roadway. An investigation led to the arrest of Omar Chipahua Quiahua, 21, of Monroe, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence-2nd offense. Chipahua Quiahua was also taken into custody on a warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Chipahua Quiahua was further cited for operating after revocation due to alcohol and possession of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Chipahua was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On May 31:
● At 2:47 p.m., officers were called to check the welfare of a person possibly unconscious in a vehicle at a business in the 2900 block of 13th Street. The investigation led to the arrest of Steve A. Johnson, 55, of Monroe, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-5th offense. Johnson was also cited for open intoxicants in a motor vehicle-driver and was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On June 2:
● At 5:29 p.m., officers were called to a report of a disorderly person in the 2100 block of 7th Street. The investigation led to the arrest of Claire J. Faust, 24, of Monroe, on charges of criminal trespass to dwelling and disorderly conduct. Faust was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On June 4:
● At 12:05 a.m., officers conducted a traffic offense stop on a vehicle which had an expired registration. The investigation led to charges against the driver, Antron D. Evans, Jr., 20, of Warren, IL. Evans was cited for operating while a driver’s license was suspended and was also cited for possession of tetrahydrocannabinols (Delta 9 Marijuana) and drug paraphernalia. Evans was cited and released pending a court appearance
On June 7:
● At 1:49 p.m., officers arrested Cheryl D. Bowman, 75, of Monroe, following a traffic offense stop in the 700 block of 8th Street. Bowman was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense and also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration. Bowman was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings
On June 8:
● At 9:29 a.m., officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries in the 1800 block of 2nd Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Felisha N. Fuchs (31), of Monroe, was performing a backing maneuver and collided with a parked unoccupied vehicle. There was functional damage to both vehicles. Fuchs was cited for unsafe backing and no insurance. Fuchs was released pending a court appearance.
● At 4:04 p.m., officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 1700 block of 15th Street. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jodie L. Edgar, 46, of Monroe, on a charge of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Edgar was booked and released after cash bail was posted pending a court appearance.
On June 10:
● At 8:41 a.m., officers arrested Adam W. Tracy, 34, of Brodhead, in the 2500 block of 13th Street, on a warrant issued by the Ogle County Illinois Sheriff’s Office, for a prior domestic dispute related case. Tracy was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On June 11:
● At 3:51 p.m., officers arrested Deidra L. Helms, 33, of Janesville, in the 400 block of 14th Avenue, on a charge of misdemeanor theft following an investigation into a theft which occurred days prior at a business in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West. Helms was also arrested on two (2) counts of felony bail jumping and two (2) warrants through the Beloit Police Department for a prior drug case. Helms was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On June 15:
● At 12:24 p.m., officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 2200 block of 18th Street Court. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Tonya M. Reed, 44 of Monroe, on charges of battery and disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Reed posted cash bail and was released pending a court appearance.
