On January 22:
● At 10:01 a.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at the intersection of 6th Street and the off ramp from STH 11. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Briana A. Baugus,33, of Orfordville, exited off of the eastbound ramp from STH 11 for 6th Street, proceeded into the intersection and collided with an eastbound vehicle, operated by a Monroe woman. Baugus’s vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed, the other vehicle sustained moderate damages. Baugus was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and was released pending a court appearance.
● At 4:04 p.m., officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 800 block of 13th Avenue. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Merlin G. Venden, 75, of Monroe, on charges of battery under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws, and also disorderly conduct as a result of his actions with another involved person. Venden was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On January 22:
● At 9:52 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with reported injuries at 17th Street and 12th Avenue. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Ines Hernandez Vivaldo, 38, of Monroe, was southbound on 12th Avenue when she entered the intersection with 17th Street and collided with a vehicle which was westbound on 17th Street, operated by an Orangeville, IL man. The Orangeville man reported injuries but declined immediate medical attention. Hernandez Vivaldo’s vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed. The other vehicle had moderate damages. Hernandez Vivaldo was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and operating without insurance. Hernandez Vivaldo was released pending a court appearance.
