On December 19:

● At 3:25 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries in the 2100 block of STH 69. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by William Amador Rugama, 29, of Monroe, was northbound on STH 69 and rear-ended another northbound vehicle which was stopped at the stop light at 21st Street, operated by a New Concord, KY man. Both vehicles sustained functional damages and were driven from the scene. Amador Rugama was cited for operating without a valid driver’s license, operating without insurance, operating too fast for conditions and failure to maintain control of the vehicle. Amador Rugama was released pending a court appearance.

On December 21:

● At 3:44 a.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic offense stop of a vehicle in the 2100 block of 13th Street. The driver, Peter J. Knutson, 46, of Monroe, was wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation and Parole, for a parole violation. Knutson failed to stop and fled for a short distance. Knutson was arrested on the felony warrant and knowingly fleeing an officer. Knutson was also cited for no tail lamps, failure to follow indicated turn and failing to stop for a stop sign and was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
