On November 19:

● At 5:19 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at the intersection of 9th Street and 20th Avenue. Investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Lisa A. Elmer, 50, of Juda, was stopped westbound on 9th Street at a stop sign at 20th Avenue. Elmer entered the intersection and collided with a vehicle, operated by a 21-year-old Monroe woman that had been stopped on 20th Ave at 9th Street which was already turning west on 9th Street. Both vehicles sustained moderate to severe functional damages. Elmer was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and was released pending a court appearance.

On November 24:

● At 6:40 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at 11th Avenue and 23rd Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Jose L. Zuniga Arauz, 32,  of Monroe, was southbound on 11th Avenue at 23rd Street and rear-ended another southbound vehicle operated by a 37-year-old Monroe man. Zuniga Arauz left the scene on foot but was located by responding officers. Zuniga Arauz’s vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed. The other vehicle sustained minor damages. Zuniga Arauz was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense and also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration, having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, operating without a valid driver’s license, hit and run to an attended vehicle and failure to notify law enforcement of an accident. Zuniga Arauz was booked and released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.

On November 25:

● At 11:39 a.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at the intersection of 7th Street and 17th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Tessa M. Hurlbert, 28, of Monroe, was traveling east on 7th Street, stopped for the stop sign at 17th Avenue, proceeded into the intersection and collided with a northbound vehicle operated by a 56-year-old Monroe woman. Hurlbert’s vehicle sustained minor damage, and the other vehicle sustained moderate damage. Hurlbert was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and was released pending a court appearance.

On November 26

● At 11:22 a.m., officers arrested Alex K. Sanchez,21, of Monroe, following an investigation into a domestic dispute in the 2700 block of 11th Avenue. Sanchez was charged with disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence Laws and felony bail jumping. Sanchez was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. 

● At 5:57 p.m. officers were called to a minor motor vehicle accident with no reported injuries in the 300 block of 18th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Mark E. Wenger, 65, of Monroe, pulled eastbound on 4th Street into the intersection with 18th Avenue and collided with a vehicle operated by a 62-year-old Monticello woman. Both vehicles sustained minor functional damages. Wenger was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and released pending a court appearance.

On November 28

● At 5:46 p.m., officers arrested James J. Braun, 21, of Monroe, in the 800 block of 25th Avenue, on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole for a probation violation. Braun was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

On December 4:

● At 6:39 PM, officers arrested Shawn W. Boss, 26, of Monroe, on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole for a probation violation. Boss was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

On December 6:

● At 10:16 a.m., officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 2400 block of 10th Street. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Joebob N. White, 21, of Monroe, on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property, both under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. White was booked into the Green County Jail and later released after posting cash bail pending a court appearance. 

● At 4:59 p.m., officers arrested Ryan P. Bechtolt (39), of Monroe, in the 2500 block of 9th Street, after officers on patrol observed a vehicle operated by Bechtolt and conducted a traffic stop. Bechtolt was arrested on an arrest warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department for failure to appear in court on a prior operating while intoxicated charge. Bechtolt was also cited for operating without a valid driver’s license. Bechtolt was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. 

● At 11:54 p.m., officers arrested Michael R. Fricks, 36, of Monroe, on an apprehension request from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole due a violation of conditions prohibiting alcohol consumption. Fricks was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

On December 9:

● At 1:44 a.m., officers were called to a residence in the 1200 block of 14th Street for a domestic disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Darci R. McGrath-Padulla, 28, of Monroe, on charges of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws, and obstructing/resisting an officer. McGrath-Padulla posted cash bail and was released pending a court appearance. 

● At 7:30 p.m., officers observed a person in a bar in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue, in violation of that person’s bail and probation conditions. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Kenneth L. Johnson, 63, of Monroe, on a charge of felony bail jumping, and an apprehension request from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Johnson was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On December 13:

● At 5:34 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident, with no reported injuries, in the 2600 block of 20th Avenue. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Jared M. Burkey, 39, of Monroe, was conducting a backing maneuver from a driveway and collided with a legally parked unattended vehicle. Burkey’s vehicle sustained minor damages while the other vehicle sustained moderate damages. Burkey was cited for unsafe backing and was released pending a court appearance.
