On August 19:

● At 1:02 a.m., officers arrested Byron D. Tillman, 39, of Freeport, IL, following a traffic offense stop in the 400 block of 18th Avenue. Tillman was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense and also cited for speeding and operating without a valid driver’s license. Tillman was booked and released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance. 

● At 4:29 p.m., officers were called to a business in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West for a shoplifting complaint. An investigation resulted in the arrest of Joanna M. Kazanjian, 38, of Beloit, on a charge of felony retail theft, possession of cocaine, possession of a Schedule ll narcotic and two (2) counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Also arrested was Nikki L. Shear, 40, of Janesville, on a charge of felony retail theft, bail jumping, and a probation hold by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Both Kazanjian and Shear were confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

● At 9:58 p.m., officers were called to a business in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue for a report of a suspicious person. An investigation led to the arrest of Austin J. Penniston, 44, of Argyle, after the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole placed a probation hold on Penniston for a probation rule violation. Penniston was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

On August 21:

● At 5:49 p.m., officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the 2200 block of Haven Lane. An investigation was conducted and led to the arrest of Kimberly L. Heffner, 57, of Monroe, on two (2) counts of disorderly conduct. Heffner was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
