On July 27:

● At 1:11 a.m., officers were called to the report of a possible home invasion in the 1800 block of 14th Avenue. The report indicated that a male had allegedly entered the residence and was hiding in the basement. An investigation resulted in the residence being searched with no one found, however further investigation resulted in the person being located at a nearby residence. Jason R. Paschal, 20, of Monroe, was eventually arrested and charged with criminal trespass to a dwelling. Paschal was booked and later released pending a court appearance.

● At 12:45 p.m., officers were called to the area of 8th Street and STH 69 for a disorderly conduct complaint. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Taylor J. Meir, 27, of Orangeville, IL, on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. Meir was booked and released after posting cash bail pending a court appearance.
