On July 7:

● At 2:06 p.m., officers were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 2700 block of 8th Avenue. An investigation led to the arrest of Dylan J. Ellsworth, 38, of Monroe, on a charge of disorderly conduct while armed with an axe handle. Ellsworth was confined in the Green County jail pending a court appearance.

On July 13:

● At 10:25 a.m., officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 2700 block of 11th Avenue. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Alex K. Sanchez, 20, of Monroe, on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and false imprisonment, all under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Sanchez was additionally charged with resisting an officer and battery to a law enforcement officer. Sanchez was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

● At 9:21 p.m., officers arrested Jeremy D. Zimmerman, 36, of Juda, following a traffic offense stop at 13th Street and 20th Avenue. Zimmerman was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense and also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration and operating left of the center line. Zimmerman was booked and released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance. 

● At 10:56 p.m., officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 800 block of 24th Street. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Adan Moranchel Tapia, 27, of Monroe, on charges of disorderly conduct and battery under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Moranchel Tapia was later released after posting cash bail pending a court appearance.

On July 23:

● At 9:06 a.m., officers arrested Jeremy M. Peevyhouse, 45, of Kissimmee, FL, on a warrant issued by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear in court on an obstructing charge. Peevyhouse was also arrested on a warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole for a probation violation. Peevyhouse was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

On July 24:

● At 6:57 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with reported injuries at the intersection of 22nd Avenue and 6th Street. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Bernard W. Whalen, 85, of Monroe, was westbound on 6th Street, failed to properly stop for a stop sign at 22nd Avenue and collided with a vehicle which was entering the intersection northbound after stopping on 22nd Avenue, operated by Jakin J. Zeledon Mejia, 34, of Monroe. Two passengers in the Zeledon Mejia vehicle reported minor injuries and were transported by Green County EMS. The Zeledon Mejia vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed. The Whalen vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Whalen was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign. Zeledon Mejia was cited for operating without a valid driver’s license and operating without insurance. Both were released pending a court appearance.

On July 25:

● At 12:19 p.m., officers were called to a business in the 700 block of 8th Avenue for a theft complaint. The investigation resulted in a municipal citation being issued to Tiffany Jo Turner, 44, of Monroe, on a charge of retail theft. Turner was served with a no trespass order and released pending a court appearance. 

● At 1:03 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at 8th Street and 8th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Dwaine J. Thoman, 77, of Monticello was entering 8th Street from 8th Avenue and collided with a vehicle which was westbound on 8th Street, operated by William K. Bauman Jr., 83, of Monroe. Both vehicles sustained functional damages. Thoman was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and released pending a court appearance. 

● At 6:48 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at 17th Avenue and 13th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Kaden L. Raemisch, 20, of Monroe, was turning on to 13th Street from 17th Avenue and collided with a legally parked unattended vehicle owned by a Ridott, IL woman. The Raemisch vehicle sustained moderate damage, and the other vehicle sustained disabling damages. Raemisch was cited for failure to maintain control of vehicle and released pending a court appearance.
