On January 10:
● At 6:45 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle hit and run accident with no reported injuries at STH 69 and 21st Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Yorleni E. Ramirez Duran (24), of Monroe, was southbound on STH 69, entered the intersection with 21st Street while the traffic signal light was red and collided with a vehicle which was eastbound on 21st Street operated by a 74-year-old Monroe woman. Ramirez Duran left the scene but was located a short time later. Ramirez Duran’s vehicle sustained functional damages while the other vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed. Ramirez Duran was cited for hit and run to an attended vehicle, operating without a valid driver’s license and operating without insurance. Ramirez Duran was released pending a court appearance.
On January 19:
● At 2:22 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at the intersection of 17th Street and 14th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Donna M. Gilbertson, 81, of Monroe, was traveling east on 17th Street, stopped at the stop sign for 14th Avenue, proceeded into the intersection and collided with a northbound vehicle operated by a Browntown woman. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed. Gilbertson was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and released pending a court appearance.
On January 22:
● At 3:39 p.m., officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 900 block of 8th Street. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Kelsey L. Henning, 34, of New Glarus, on charges of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Henning was booked and released after posting cash bail pending a court appearance.
